Finally got around to fitting the LED Halo bulbs today. Thanks Maniac for the tip

Here is a side by side of the new vs the old. Although they do look a lot better in the flesh and now match the Xenons
Very happy with the result and will post pics of install if interested. I secured the resistor box inside the housing away from the lens as I believe the heat created to be not excessive otherwise the tiny wires already there would be damaged.

More pictures?
With headlights ON/OFF as well?

There are a number of other threads with pictures on this.

You're right.....I should have looked/browsed more.
Thanks....you and the Pacemaker (wasn't that a Colt? No wait, that was a gun) have convinced me.

Fleeing off around the bay right now....

I dont believe the control unit requires fitting outside the enclosure (as indicated in the instructions) due to the fact there are no other sources of heat unlike some cars that also contain both main and dipped beam or even xenons.
This makes the upgrade quick and easy and to my mind makes the car look fresh and up to date.
Here is a pic of the install with the control unit zippered to the standard wiring to avoid it bouncing around in the enclosure.

PS.
I cannot sing the praises high enough of the seller 'horizonleds' I got them off and have asked him if he would consider a group buy price.
Will probably have an answer tomorrow. I paid £55 all in BTW on a 'Best Offer' deal so still the cheapest available.

Oh, and they DO dim, but as they are effectively 'digital' compared to a normal bulb that has a gradual fade, it is more of a 'stepped' decrease in brightness then just off. if that make sense :?

Great picture........neatly done - I know exactly what to do now!

Ordered mine on 2 days ago.
And like you, I offered a similar price and they'll be along shortly I guess.

Thanks again for the inspiration...

Hi Alan & the rest of the forum members,

Many thanks for your great review on our product. Firstly apologies for the late response to your email, but what I am pleased to say is that I can offer this forum the kit, at our discounted price of £49.99 delivered to mainland UK, we also accept international orders but the postage for this is £13.99.

I can accept PayPal and items will be sent 1st class recorded via Royal Mail - depending on stock of course, but each buyer will be given a date. As for a group buy I don't need to set a minimum order quantity, I am able to offer it at £49.99 to anyone wishing to deal outside of eBay (save on fees etc...) - to be fair it is a great price and I would confidentially say we are the cheapest at this sort of quality kit, there is only one other company on eBay that sell this kit but they are double the price of us... why are we cheap? well our margin is simply very little!

All the information for this kit can be found on the link below, if any one has any questions please don't hesitate to reply to this thread of simply email me directly at "[email protected]".

P.S If moderators would allow us to promote this kit on the buying section of the forum, please do let us know as that would be fantastic.

Thanks Guys!

Hi Z_Victor1, yours should have been with you by now, I will check in the office first thing in the morning.

Great price, will consider the change. I have the white H8 bulbs on mine, from another company, and mine seem really bright, so not sure how they will compare. But tempted...

Yes, got them end of last week.....but not fitted yet.....Thunderboid 1 (the car that is) resting out of the cold.
And nasty salty stuff on roads at the moment, so not too keen on lighting up her boilers.

They are beautifully packaged (the CREEs that is) and will pop feedback on just as soon as I have them fitted. :D

Another comparison pic with just DRLs on

please note that due to the new 'white' light it now blends in to the clear lens design of the headlight unlike the yellow bulb which stands out against it. look at the far right yellow horizontal stripes in the lens as an example.
this may give the impression of 'less' light but from my experience the output is the same and this is an illusion

Looks loads better, great mod :)

Really suits the blue colour of the car too, all blends nicely now and updates the front end massively, superb!
