LED Halos fitted

Mine arrived on Wednesday... just need my car back from the dealer now and for it to stop snowing long enough for me to fit them!!

I was a little disappointed at the Z4 angel eyes. The X5 ones are fantastic and make the Z's look rubbish. I've been looking on websites and on eBay and they all seem to say there's are the best and range from £8 to £259. Which would be like the X5's?

This and a few other threads is about the best we've found so far ...

If the X5 one you're talking about is LED/white then nothing short of the LCI e89 will be as good.

As for non lci then that's the reason this thread exists!

UPDATED 11th Feb 2013

As I attempted to fit these units, I discovered that on one of them, the male plug that was supposed to slot into the OEM loom had pins that were loose and spaced too far apart.
I posted unit back and the company sent replacement units.
That replacement unit was AGAIN faulty - one of the units had a screw loose, so no attempt to fit that.

Am now awaiting a response from the seller.

Image with N/S unit fitted...

And NO, the headlights are NOT on....the only light coming from the O/S is the OEM incandescent DRL.
Comments welcome.......

i've got a pair of these bulbs, ordered from same seller on ebay and arrived after I'd decided to trade the car for an M3. so brand new in box not even opened and will take £40 for them

Well you persevered that's for sure
I like them, but are you still worried about the brightness.?
Drls aren't meant to glare. But I have never seen such bright oem bulbs as that

I think it's just the photo no? My OEM and led are virtually the same brightness.. Just led looks lovely and white!

Yes, you're right, I was very surprised how the photo came out....shows how misleading the camera can be......
But I definitely perceive the LED's to be dimmer....ho hum.

Found another forum where these guys really seem to know about LEDs and the like...even talking about
ww.candlepowerforums.com/vb/forum.php
Specifically Automobiles....
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?87-Automotive-Motorcycles-Included
Talking about automobile manufacturers using Pulse Width Modulation in the wiring to prolong filament life....... :surrender:

I'm going to stick with glowing wires......
Bottom line.....I can't see the DRLs when I'm in the car.....

BMW H8 ANGEL EYES LED KIT
Since returning the SECOND faulty unit, which it transpired was an incorrect unit (??) on the 21st February 2013, I have not received any communication from the seller.
Prior to me returning this unit, the seller advised he would send me another or refund me.
I have heard nothing since.............................no replacement - no refund.
I have escalated the case through e-bay
When I have any news, I shall of course pass this to this forum

No response from seller. :tumbleweed:
I escalated the case through ebay and in light of the seller's failure to respond they awarded me a full refund.
A shame it had to go down like that....... :idunno:
