Leak at the top of A pillars during jet wash - Normal?

Thats a shame for the new owner of this car as it could possibly have been fixed while under the original warranty.

I traded in after 2 years for the M135i so it would still have a year's warranty remaining. If the leaky roof doesn't cheese the owner off then the whining rattly engine probably will. It went in twice for that for which nothing could be found wrong. Completely spoilt the ownership experience for me :(

In the last week we've had loads of effing rain , I really effing hate rain , that's why I hate living here.Anyway luckily none of it went in the boot or any other part of the zed ,even when I use the Mighty Karcher K4 Compact :rofl: to rinse ,snow foam ,rinse again :headbang: , so you seem to be on your here matey
 
No leaks up front during jet wash so far. Need to get some rubber lubricant by the sounds of it before leaks develop.

Brill thanks for that - have just ordered some.

Did check the seals last night - they all feel rather hard and brittle - hopefully this stuff will do the trick!
 
Definitely not normal. I've taken it through many car washes, hand car washes, etc and never any leaks. I once saw one of the guys use the s**t out of a jet washer on the all the seams of the car including on the roof (I guess he really wanted to get in all the nooks and crannies!) and expected a convertible that looks this good to not have leak problems — luckily he was right.

But of course the taillight was a different problem.

Do you have any proof that doing that actually helps, or is it just bro-science?
 
I only get a slight bit of water that slowly runs down the inside door window when I jet wash mine. As someone said, my seals probably need a wipe down.
