Coming out for a few? I don't think they do Corp-style quad-vods in Le Discotheque!

Of course I am :P Haha well we'll just have to make some up ourselves then won't we!

Just a couple of things left to sort out for the trip, can anyone recommend a good route down from Calais?

Don't fancy motorways the whole way so some nice roads to aim for would be appreciated.

What's the weather usually like? Is it going to be warm? I've bought short shorts... :|

The weather at Le-Mans can be very very hot which i like still 70 at 9pm but it can also be bloody freezing so go prepared i pack shorts flip flops but also thermals.

My tickets have turned up so counting down the days now but got the FIA GT meet at Silverstone the week before watch the Z4s in action. :D

Les billets est arrive! :crazydude: :happyclap: :yeah:

Anyone got any good ideas for meeting point for a sweet sherry or two after we've got settled in?

p.s. Recommend the following guide http://www.craigmcateer.co.uk/lemans/Stephen's_Guide_to_Le_Mans_2011_v2.0.pdf (give it 30 secs to download - well worth it)

I've been a bit quiet on this thread, but thought I'd update...

Will be in France already, we're setting off Saturday morning to be in France for the afternoon and will stay with my girlfriends parents north of Paris, then head over to Brittany around Monday and have a mooch about Brittany. The plan is to meet up with Guiseley at some as-yet-to-be-determined destination on the Thursday evening and then drive down to Le Mans in convoy on the Thurs/Fri (Did we decide that bit Tony? Can't remember now).

Anyway - it's all a bit fluid for us, we're just going to plod about France for another couple of weeks after the race and see where we end up (probably Spain, wouldn't mind a visit to Pamplona).

It sounds like there may be a little bit of a plan for a night out on the Friday, this sounds good, shall we firm it up a bit? :)

The Z's nearly packed, everything is ready, I've even had a haircut and bought new shoes - this makes it officially the start of my holiday :)

Tickets and stickers are here and we have a sticker and BBQ session Sunday - can't wait now! :-). Anyone else in stand 21?

This year we plan on heading into town to see the drivers parade, I'll PM you all my number and if you have a PMR radio what channel/subchannel could we use on site to link up :-)

Look forward to enjoying a few birthday drinks with you all on the Saturday too! :-)

Always hated languages, even english - much better with numbers

If you're so good with the language maybe you should come as my translator - but you'd have to camp !

My plan is to meet Siftah Thursday lunchtime somewhere near Le Harve, and hoon down to LM, via a few deserted backroads, arriving in time to pitch and grab a late tea on Thurs - Fridays' for drivers parades and pit walks.

Not long now guys  If anybody else going wants my phone number then drop me a PM :)

So that'll be most of LeMans and surrounding villages wanting your phone number then LB.

Just PM'ed those who may be going with my contact details and some ideas for possible meets/things to do :)

Have a great weekend!

This weekend, The Sunday Times has a special feature on the Le Mans race - lots of tips and information for racegoers.

"On Sunday morning the public lavatories make Glastonbury's look like the Ritz. Take your own toilet paper, some operators have been known to sell it outside the lavatories - by the sheet."

Just stickered up this afternoon. Taking it to the dealer on Tuesday for some warranty work, not sure what they'll make of it!

Does anyone that's going to LM have room for a walk-on to share some room at their pitch for a share of the cost?

I have my own tent and am trekking there solo, on foot. I'm a newbie to LM and didn't realize the difficulty in getting a pitch.

Would have loved to be doing this trip my first euro trip in the Zed maybe next year.
Anyway i was talking to my father in law this morning and he mentioned his mates son is going to Le mans this weekend, but he's going in a Volvo estate he bought for £1 and it will de done out in the Gulf racing colours so should be something to lookout for
Have a good trip guys look forward to the pics
