Latest version of navi map is available for download

I think it took only 10 minutes to update. I was standing by the car in the garage.
To be honest, I actually don’t know how long it took to update the map. What I did this time was put both cars into diagnostic mode and plugged in the usb stick to each car and started the update. I then simply went back to have another online meeting. After about an hour when I finished the meeting, both cars were done.

In case anyone bothers with keeping the satnav map up to date, the latest version (2021.4) is available. Just log in to the connected drive website to download.

Anyone know if the BMW dealer can/will do this? My car needs its normal service and I plan on having them do the "Brake Assist Recall" then. My car is still being covered by the "free" routine services for another year or so. If they can do the nav update that would be good, saves me time. Unlike a lot of folks, I do use the navigation system a lot....been addicted to them since I started using them almost 20 years ago!

Hi Doug, BMW dealer can do this as long as you still have the active subscription. However, whether they are happy to do it free of charge is up to each dealer or service person.

Thanks. I'll ask my service writer when I call to schedule. Otherwise I will use the procedures above and do it myself. We've bought about 5 BMW's from them in the last 15 years or so........maybe they'd like to show me how they appreciate that! 8)
