Last Ever Hullavington Trackday

Can you organise some nice weather please Alan?

Home please for 1400 too - !!!

I would have an hour and a half drive to get there for 8 so I will meet you at the track I think otherwise
I will have to leave my bed by 6 AM :!:

So I struggled up to London today on work business - whilst enduring a second bout of man flu in so many weeks :-(

I get home looking for some sympathy from SWMBO and she says "never mind you can dump the run out tomorrow , stay in your bed and recover"

W H A T ?

I think you need a good dose of fresh air to clear that. You obviously cant drop your roof, but I will open your window for you just to help.

Tell Mrs Spikey that the last thing you want to do if you're full of germs is stay in the bedroom with her any longer than necessary, so you're doing her a favour. Then come home knackered about 2pm and fall in front of the TV for the rugby with several doses of black medicine by the pint...

See you at 8am...

You're retired Brian. Getting up at 6am once a week isnt hard. The rest of us do it 5 or 6 times a week still !!!

Well, The first 'proper' day of Spring and the first proper outing this morning.

Six of us met up and drove about 50 miles around South Glos and Wiltshire on the way to Hullavington with a quick Pit Stop at the AV8 cafe

R to L above: Wackydo, Spikey, BigRedCat, BMWJay, Danstar & No 5

Nice to meet a few new local members and good to watch Tomk and Fishy Dave testing the Zeds in pursuit of each other at the Track.

 Agree nice to get out in some clear spring weather - and meet with some like minded forum members :driving:

Well done to TomK and Fishy Dave for their track exploits and also to No5 for his great route for our travels this morning. Nice bit of breaky too.

Had an enjoyable half day watching a couple of Zed 4 Ms chase each other around the track, great bit of driving guys.

After the great weather and seeing all the Zs taken my hardtop off forgot how good it feels with the roof down! Sorry in advance for all the rain....

Thanks guys, good to meet you all, what a great day  Thanks to dave for inviting me along, first time there and sadly it seems the last. :(
Really good crowd there, good driving standards and a great little track. Other than the rather waffling briefing which seemed to take up most of the morning, I had a really great day and will look out for some of their other events.
Great to see the alpina posse show up (I've never seen one let alone three, and I doubt I'll ever see one as shiny as yours zedwheels :D ) and the other Zs including a nice 3.0si set up for track (anyone on here?).
Apologies to Fran (bigredcat) for the minor moment :P Hope you enjoyed anyhow!
Thanks to Wackydo for the shots, they look great
Thanks to Fishydave for showing me how to really drive round that circuit in my car at the end, great lesson thanks. I now know what my brakes really can do :o
Thoughts to the guy who blew his RX-8 engine about 10 minutes into proceedings

Small vid from my crappy knock off go pro which decided to record what it saw fit, the sound is terrible and the picture not much better (yep, cheapskate me :headbang: ). Fishy dave splishing his tail rather nicely about 4" in at the hairpin :driving: That was after we got told off for my rather bad display there  :telloff: (It din't quite pan out like this one of 'managing' the understeer did :D https://youtu.be/PcFRgoDoM6U)
Cheers all.

Some lovely photos there Wackydo. Tom & Dave must be chuffed.

Great way to spend a Saturday morning - apologies for not reading the thread properly & turning up late
Nice to meet new faces & thanks to Alan for leading the way.
Massive thank you to Tom for taking me round the track - biggest thrill I've had in a long time. Still smiling from the little "moment" even if the marshalls didn't agree  I can see why it is addictive.
Couple of photos of you guys on the track
