Having started life as a Boston Green Z3 it had been very tastefully and meticulously re sprayed
Sadly it was written off a couple of months after the pic was taken, fortunately without serious injury to the driver

Yep crisp sunny morning here in Barrow too... Been out giving the car a good clean this morning, will no doubt be minging by the time I get to Penrith but ah well :D

Haha doing exactly the same. Bottoming mine and will get a quick wax and give the 911 a quick wash before dad heads out too. Love a good car cleaning day haha
 
Gorgeous day here today in Edinburgh, zed all cleaned and shiny. Torrential rain forecast for tomorrow though, so zed will no doubt be filthy by the time I drive down :headbang:
 
Just come over the a66 from Yorkshire. Cold and misty over Brough Moor.
Now sat in the sunshine in Shap catching a coffee before some more open top cruising.

I never trust the weather forecasts round here anyway so let's see what happens tomorrow, I'll be doing a sun dance.

Last minute checks.

There is only one petrol station on the route, unless we detour so please make sure your brimmed up! Its only 110 miles but some of it is 20-25deg so it will use more and hopefully a good pace, so just make sure before you arrive.

There are about 6 fuel stations around Penrith all have Super.

Me and Ste will bring print outs of the route map on the previous page to give everyone so dont worry.

Shell - Victoria Road, Penrith, CA11 8HU

Esso - Bridge Lane, Penrith CA11 8JB

BP - Townhead Garage, Scotland Road, Penrith, CA11 7NN

Gulf - Ullswater Road, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 7EH

Morrisons - Brunswick Road, Penrith, CA11 7JU

There are a few others but those are the mains.

Just usual precautions bring a bottle of water etc

The Esso station just off the a66/m6 had no premium unleaded but the Shell station 400m further into town has V-power :)

Sorry guys but i'm bailing out the weather in the west of the county is as bad or worse then expected :cry:
Hope the everybody has a great hoon round the Lakes but its a day on the sofa for me :oops:
 
Yep me too really sorry was lookin forward to this but I'm a fair weather hooner. Have a good one hope all the effort u guys put into it pays off. Pity was not yesterday
 
Pssh what's a bit of rain among friends you're in a car! :)

Meant to clear up by about 1 anyway so hopefully the afternoons hoon after dinner will be fun for those of us still going.
