Now you know why its called "the lakes"
Glad you all still enjoyed the day despite the rain  I ventured out of the house to walk the dog around 3pm & it was the same here .

Great pics guys was regretting that I decided to bail out till I saw these pics, think it would have stressed me out putting the zed through that. Well done guys, apologies once again for letting u down looks like an experience to remember though and never forget. Can see some familiar faces from the annual meet and sorry not to get the chance to catch up. Am a fair weather cyclist and hooner unfortunately. We done Ste and Tom for gettin it on under difficult circumstances and apologies once again cos was lookin forward to this!

It was certainly an experience. But all decisions were made by the group I didnt want to put anyones car at unnecessary risk. Although squeeky bum times the cars dealt with it fine

Sod getting a stuby, I'm off to buy a Periscope. :P

Some cracking beeding evident on the Black Roady too.

Cheers for all the comments guys. I think these pictures show the worst bits of the water (aside from the river that was Kirkstone Pass!) and there was some good hooning and decent roads in between so it wasn't that bad overall 8)

I'll have my pics up tonight, like Tom not got a great deal due to the weather.

Agree about the route, definitely one we need to look at doing again with better weather. Maybe a spring meet? Pencil it into your diaries 8)

A very big thank you to Tom and Ste for organizing a brilliant day out with my beloved Z.
Having driven over 2 hours to the meet was worth it even if it was raining, it just added to the fun.
Never thought I'd drive my car through what looked like a mini river but we did and it was great, The Z is more watertight then I thought. :D
The driving standard was top class by all, really impressed by the car control of all drivers in such challenging conditions.
I have had some fun times in my Z but this has to be near the top of the list, hopefully the first meet of many.
Tom and Ste are both top blokes, very welcoming to a new member of this forum (just joined a week ago).
I wouldn't hesitate to go to another meet organised by them.
Just like to say thank you for all the amazing complements about my Z, its my baby and my pride and joy.
Happy to meet people who know it doesn't come out of the factory like this. :x
Looking forward already to meeting you all again. :)
Hassan.

Christ on a bike, I can see what you mean about that stone wall looking like it's ready to burst!
Well done to all. Meeting in conditions such as those cant have been easy.

Ye to add to what Ste said we did get a great run and the pics do show the worst because it was worth documenting, also the road near Honister looks a lot deeper than it was. I would say about 2-3% of the 110 miles was difficult the rest was good hooning within reason but with plenty of rain. But good in a different sense once the cloud cleared the views were amazing and the lakes really are beautiful when it's miserable sounds stupid but is true.

Was great to meet you Hassan your Z is a credit to you. By far the best E89 I've seen and with the mods you have done and the look you've achieved I would be tempted to swap my M for it! Glad you made the trip!

Also the route is amazing I would be happy to lead another meet on this route.

As my first taste of leading a pack and dealing with the weather and trying to keep everyone's spirits up, I won't lie it was a bit stressful but was certainly worth while and I don't think we will see weather like that again on a meet.

Me and ste have already thought about doing another meet if not a little later in the year certainly spring. So if anyone fancies it I would be more than happy organising it. The route truly is incredible and is certainly worth the effort. The views and roads are like non other. Also doing 3 of the best passes in one day is pretty immense! :D

Aii credit to Tom who did the majority of the work planning the route and led it perfectly without a single hitch, great job

Cheers for your comments Hassan, now get a topic made and introduce yourself and that lovely Z of yours to the rest of the forum!
