Labour leader ….

Oh no, that couldn't happen (could it?).

Frightening thought, just when I was feeling quite happy about the outcome in the knowledge that this was the end of Labour's chances of ever being elected again :)

Were in for some interesting times. Prime ministers question time will never be the same.

He's already on demos and using the words 'labour movement'. I guess his success or failure will depend on just how many far left/socialist activist there are to vote. Oddly enough, I suspect that ukip will benefit most, if they move into the 'space created'. People who'd never vote Conservative, but are not far left.

Ukip might move to position themselves 'for the working man'.

Really glad that we are way off an election (hopefully). :D

at this rate Ukip may end up the 2nd party to the tories after the next election

what a fall for Labour... downward spiral some more i reckon

I would assume that the party will split. What is the difference now with the socialist party anyway?

Can you imagine him as pm, Falkland Islands are handed to Argentina, we open a communication line to Isis, maximum salaries introduced. Just a few of the policies, unbelievable to think there are people about that want these type.

Well that's the end of an electable labour opposition for a decade until they sort themselves out, regroup and get some sensible policies and a leader who can be elected to govern.

Should be an interesting next year or so to see how this plays out.

Takes me back to the days when they elected Michael Foot (AKA Donkey Jacket) and Neil Kinnock (AKA Look at me fall over on the beach). Labour didn't gave a hope of getting elected then either. Halcyon days.

Not sure how this will affect Nicola Queen of Scotland. According to her mandate she is the party of anti austerity. Which seems to be a corner stone for Corbin, could her crown be in danger or will nationalism win out.

Could be an unholy alliance in the making with Queen Nikki...

Now all we need is Boris as Prime Minister - PM Questions would be hilarious. Spitting Image might even make a come-back :D

That is a worrying thought...

Lots and lots of chat on social media from people saying they've not voted in X number of years but now they have someone to vote for. Just glad it's 4 years away.

Polls already suggest that the UK would vote in Boris vs Corbyn, Boris into number 10 as first choice. If Boris wasn't the choice and it was Osborn or May vs Corbyn then they say that Corbyn would be elected PM.

Oh dear

Part of the 2016 Scottish Parliment SNP Manifesto will outline when they 'might' call yet another bloody referendum. Unlike every other manifesto this has been highlighted and after all the issues last time, it may just get people out and voting to stop the SNP having a majority government.

As mentioned they are all about 'anti austerity' BUT they can't stop the UK Goverment from implementing their cuts but the SNP now need to start taking a good long hard look at some of the things they provide. I mean just look at how well their merging of all police forces to save money turned out. We now have two people dead due to incompetence due to understaffing. We also pay the university fees for every Scottish resident attending a Scottish university no matter if you can afford it or not. Just utter nonsense and I don't know how Corbyn would view some of their policies to be honest.

The SNP will now face opposition which, in future, should be prevent Scotland becoming a one-party state. The test will be at the next Scottish Assembly election in 2016. Sturgeon's face will look more like a smacked arse than it always has.

Stop whittling about it all, if the daft old git gets in next time we can all migrate to the what will be deserted by then Syria...simples.

I don't think JC's chances of ever becoming PM should be written off just yet - up till now the electorate have not had a real choice with a true Socialist ( if you define Socialist as Left Wing ) There are thousands ( if not millions ) of potential voters who may well make the effort to vote if only to cause mischief ! All the Scottish Labour deserters might return to the fold at the next election which could well scupper the SNP and alter completely the current balance of power - I agree with some of JC's policies but clearly not others - it's difficult to know what is true and what the media purport - I'm no supporter of the Left but I can see why voters have turned to him - he hasn't slagged off anyone despite how he is continuously verbally attacked , he is his own man and speaks plainly unlike all the other politicians around. The next year or so will define his success or failure .
