To be fair to Corbyn when asked about the various issues he hasn't denied any of them. He said he supportedvthe IRA because it was the right thing to don't the time. He said he didn't sing the national anthem because he thought it was his way of showing support to the armed forces. He said he would never press the nukebutton even if a labour gov had decided to spend billions renewing it.gov said:ipvr said:gov said:Whether you like it or not there's a lot of people listening to him and before the usual brigade start shouting it's all Commmies , Lefties , nutters etc there's a good few ordinary mainstream folk who are fed up with the way todays politicians behave and how the division between Tory and Labour has merged so that the lines are barely distinguishable . Seems to me the doom mongerers who slate JC''s ideals are as brainwashed by the Bullingdon Club members as the one's they accuse of being indoctrinated by the far Left. Traditionally I've always voted Tory but I'm big enough to think there may be an alternative more caring approach . At least JC sticks to his beliefs and is not afraid to say so - I think he's wrong about saying he wouldn't be prepared to push the nuclear button but who can argue that we should all strive to live in a world free of nuclear weapons . As regards taxing the rich if everyone paid what they should under the current rules ( and I'm including big Corporations ) it wouldn't be necessary to do all of these radical cutbacks and it would pay for the ideas being put forward by JC . I've said it before it can't be right that the normal PAYE worker cannot avoid paying due tax but the rich can employ means to avoid paying billions of pounds. Should be an interesting few years ahead .
I am sure that there are partial policies that would appeal to a lot of people, but do you think that most potential voters can overlook some main rather unusual policies such as the foreign policies, terrorists etc as I am sure that even strong labour voters are generally fairly patriotic?
Clearly some of what is purported to be his beliefs and ideals do seem crackpot and will probably bring about his personal downfall - when I read about these ( always from a hostile press ) I wonder what he really said and what may have been taken out of context for the convenience of attack . If his approach shakes things up and brings about a fairer system that gives the common person a better deal then he would achieved a lot more than most politicians of either party.
He's just an apologist labour pacifist.
If he gets in I'm voting for Scottish independence!
