Whether you like it or not there's a lot of people listening to him and before the usual brigade start shouting it's all Commmies , Lefties , nutters etc there's a good few ordinary mainstream folk who are fed up with the way todays politicians behave and how the division between Tory and Labour has merged so that the lines are barely distinguishable . Seems to me the doom mongerers who slate JC''s ideals are as brainwashed by the Bullingdon Club members as the one's they accuse of being indoctrinated by the far Left. Traditionally I've always voted Tory but I'm big enough to think there may be an alternative more caring approach . At least JC sticks to his beliefs and is not afraid to say so - I think he's wrong about saying he wouldn't be prepared to push the nuclear button but who can argue that we should all strive to live in a world free of nuclear weapons . As regards taxing the rich if everyone paid what they should under the current rules ( and I'm including big Corporations ) it wouldn't be necessary to do all of these radical cutbacks and it would pay for the ideas being put forward by JC . I've said it before it can't be right that the normal PAYE worker cannot avoid paying due tax but the rich can employ means to avoid paying billions of pounds. Should be an interesting few years ahead .

I am sure that there are partial policies that would appeal to a lot of people, but do you think that most potential voters can overlook some main rather unusual policies such as the foreign policies, terrorists etc as I am sure that even strong labour voters are generally fairly patriotic?

Clearly some of what is purported to be his beliefs and ideals do seem crackpot and will probably bring about his personal downfall - when I read about these ( always from a hostile press ) I wonder what he really said and what may have been taken out of context for the convenience of attack . If his approach shakes things up and brings about a fairer system that gives the common person a better deal then he would achieved a lot more than most politicians of either party.
To be fair to Corbyn when asked about the various issues he hasn't denied any of them. He said he supportedvthe IRA because it was the right thing to don't the time. He said he didn't sing the national anthem because he thought it was his way of showing support to the armed forces. He said he would never press the nukebutton even if a labour gov had decided to spend billions renewing it.

He's just an apologist labour pacifist.

If he gets in I'm voting for Scottish independence!

Its good to hear different views and PVR hit it on the nail as people are listening to him and doughting there voting decision maybe. at 65 i wonder now what getting the full con party into power will do now there on there own. I think people were so afraid labour would get in with the plonker leader it had that they voted against them on principle not realizing the result that we now have without libs to hold the strings a little as I think they did a good job there.
So now corbin is stiring things up and yes some comments are nuts but he does make some sense , housing, transport, ownership of national interests. they can and should be run properly in our interest and not for profit, foreign investors now have all the strings on us in many ways which I believe is killing our society in britain.
We should look deeper into whats right for us and our future children and get back to a fairer society but i thinks its all to late and to much greed.

National interests should be run as efficiently as possible so that hard working people don't have to pay billions subsidising them.

Tax isn't good, it's a necessary evil.

I wasn't around when this dude was running the place;

Corbyn sounds a bit too similar for my liking !

"Like many in Britain who had lived through World War One, Chamberlain was determined to avert another war. His policy of appeasement towards Adolf Hitler culminated in the Munich Agreement in which Britain and France accepted that the Czech region of the Sudetenland should be ceded to Germany. Chamberlain left Munich believing that by appeasing Hitler he had assured 'peace for our time'. However, in March 1939 Hitler annexed the rest of the Czech lands of Bohemia and Moravia, with Slovakia becoming a puppet state of Germany. Five months later in September 1939 Hitler's forces invaded Poland. Chamberlain responded with a British declaration of war on Germany."

Replace Hitler with Putin and Czech with Ukraine :(.

Now is not the time for a pacifist !

Perhaps someone could explain to me how a steelworks gets mothballed in the North East of Britain while we lend a Russian oligarth 45 million to build a steelworks in Canada ?

I am more worried by someone who said that they would press the button, honestly why would anyone risk making the human race extinct. Though a deterrent serves no purpose if you don't use it. So the correct question should be, are there any scenarios where tactical nuclear weapons may be used and which one if any would you use them.

and for me the answer would be only if the county I used it against started an unprovoked attack AND they didn't have any way of retaliating with WoMD. And that's the crux, any country that has the might to inflict real damage to our way of life in the west, have so many WoMD's that having them or not having them makes no real difference to the UK and frankly I would rather have the money in a larger and more technically sophisticated armed services

As for Corbyn, you can asses the level of threat to the establishment by the amount of vitriol from the right wing press and I have never seen so much from the DT

"On December 5, 1994 the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Britain and the United States signed a memorandum to provide Ukraine with security assurances in connection with its accession to the NPT as a non-nuclear weapon state. The four parties signed the memorandum, containing a preamble and six paragraphs. The memorandum reads as follows:[4]

The United States of America, the Russian Federation, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,

Welcoming the accession of Ukraine to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons as non-nuclear-weapon State,

Taking into account the commitment of Ukraine to eliminate all nuclear weapons from its territory within a specified period of time,

Noting the changes in the world-wide security situation, including the end of the Cold War, which have brought about conditions for deep reductions in nuclear forces"

Getting rid of your nukes doesn't always end well !

As long as countries like Russia have nuclear weapons we need one as a deterrent. Period. £100bn spent on sophisticated fighter planes or whatever isn't much use if they can launch a series of weapons in the full knowledge they are safe from a similar response.

Which they would if they knew they could get away with it. Hence them always supporting labour parties in the UK.

Wouldn't surprise me if Nicola Sturgeon invites her Russian pals in to help annexe Scotland from the nasty English Tories tbh - David Cameron could then launch the Clyde based Nukes on Glasgow - The Irony !

If Corbyn ever become prime minister then I'll emigrating to somewhere where the government has a relative proven track record of economic prudence - Greece is currently top of my list.

Some say George Bush downed the twin towers. He hasn't sued anyone, so that means he must have done it according to you?

So what if he did? What does it change? Why does anyone care? I'm sure we've all done things we would rather our work colleagues didn't know about, doesn't make you any less capable of doing your job.

Dread to think where corbyns cock has been.

I get your point but I can't see how it has any influence on him running the country. Most likely an initiation of some sort. Would you want someone running the country who had zero embarrassing stories, zero skeletons, etc. That type of person would be far worse.
