Been insured with a company called Key worker insure since October last year on my Saab 9-3.
They were by far the cheapest quote I could get (at least 50% cheaper than elephant) ! Changed vehicle at the end of Jan this year to the E85 coupe, and I'm paying £550 a year fully comp with windscreen cover with 5 years NCB age 26, which I think is brilliant.
Anyway, had some sunshine recently which is rare in Newcastle, and realised I had about one trillion tiny stone chips obscuring my vision! Called Key worker insure who transferred me to national windscreens, and screen was replaced within 3 days outside my house. Key worker didn't even ask to see the windscreen prior to replacement and was only a £65 excess.
Another great thing about them is that they are a small company so you get through on the phone to a British person very quickly. Can not fault them and I am actually shocked that it was so straight forward. Of course the test of a good insurer is when/if you have to make a proper claim, but for now, they are fantastic and I can not praise them enough! And no I do not work in insurance I am just genuinely pleased for once!
