Key Worker Insure - fantastic

Been insured with a company called Key worker insure since October last year on my Saab 9-3.

They were by far the cheapest quote I could get (at least 50% cheaper than elephant) ! Changed vehicle at the end of Jan this year to the E85 coupe, and I'm paying £550 a year fully comp with windscreen cover with 5 years NCB age 26, which I think is brilliant.

Anyway, had some sunshine recently which is rare in Newcastle, and realised I had about one trillion tiny stone chips obscuring my vision! Called Key worker insure who transferred me to national windscreens, and screen was replaced within 3 days outside my house. Key worker didn't even ask to see the windscreen prior to replacement and was only a £65 excess.

Another great thing about them is that they are a small company so you get through on the phone to a British person very quickly. Can not fault them and I am actually shocked that it was so straight forward. Of course the test of a good insurer is when/if you have to make a proper claim, but for now, they are fantastic and I can not praise them enough! And no I do not work in insurance I am just genuinely pleased for once! :D :driving:

What do you do for work, Phil?

I mean are Key Worker Insure only available to "key workers", i.e. teachers, nurses etc.

I work as a Civil Aircraft Engineer so I am not in the public sector. I am pretty sure they will quote anyone! Worth a try anyway for a short call

I've never known an insurance company to inspect the windscreen before replacement, so I don't think you've received any special treatment there :P

Mine's about 60% more than your's, but mine is parked on the drive/street in Liverpool/London, has some declared mods (exhaust, brake pads, intake + not-yet-done suspension changes), European cover, 25k miles, business use and track day extension cover.

Mine's through Keith Michaels (on a MarkerStudy policy).

Mines 600 on the E86 M coupe 25 3ync protected claims, 3 points with windscreen cover, breakdown, and all my mods declared.

Admiral, im a bit wary about these companies I've never heard of.

Suppose its all good until the worst case happens :(
