Thats what I think p1tse plus they are very expensive to insure!

What is clearguard dubbedown?

oh really, i would have thought it would be close to my TT in cost

I made the mistake of buying a TT, cost me a fortune as it was sooo unreliable! ....all the the usual problems, dashpod, MAF Sensor, electrics, etc, etc, etc, think your Z will be far better in terms of reliablity, as Audi certainly know how to have your pants down at stealerships !

My TT was not very reliable either :( Lovely car though but those niggles made me get rid of it! I hope the Z4 is better :D

What petrol do you use normal unleaded or 97ron super? The TT required super and so did my c class.

No it's not, for some reason it isn't shown on that page or in the accessories brochure. The dealer will know what you want anyway, pretty sure the part number was posted previously, I'll have a look.

Hi,

welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy your car as much as I have. Only tips I would give are if you don't like the rft's get rid of them rather than put up with them. And be careful not to kerb the wheels, easliy done.

Oh, and enjoy yourself as much as possible. But I think you've thought of that :D

Oh yeah, I was going to comment about ditching the runflats. It's a good idea, will reduce tramlining and all kinds of bumpy jumpiness of the car. On the flip side, make sure your runflats are properly inflated to what the tag on the door says. It's amazing how much that helps the runflats loose that nervous feel.

I usually use super unleaded, or if i feel like treating myself and the Z of course, its Optimax. The horror stories of the Mk1 TT are unreal in terms of reliability, so it wasnt just mine then that was crap. Touch wood, my Z has never missed a beat in the 9 months of ownership, and i drive it everyday!

The runflats will be like the brake disks :D Once they need replacing I will go for alternatives. My friend who had a Z4 said the run flats were £205!! A little on the pricey side!

Super it is then :D I thought it probably would be.

Strange BMW don't advertise the roof product. I will pop in and ask them about it :D

Is it a once a week thing or not that frequent?

I am so excited about picking it up on firday!!!! It had better be a dry weekend

awesome enjoy your new ride, and this website, both are excellent.

Its getting closer and I'm getting more excited by the minute! I'm 23 :D got my TT at 21.

So the roof treatments not a weekly thing then :) I can't wait!!!

You are going to love it. Have had mine for about 4 weeks and it is more fun than I ever imagined Still walk in to the garage each night before bed to be sure it is still there!

Well pick up day is tomorrow!! I'm so excited :D :D :D

Tomorrow morning is going to be a loooooong morning for me!!

I will look into the autoglym and bmw roof treatments thanx for the heads up on them!

Dam I'm excited!!! :driving: :D

enjoy the day... just take your time when ready to go after collection - sit in, slow down and enjoy getting everything right, seat-wheel position, mirrors, i suggest no distractions - radio/cd/nav just you and car...oh and just tootle around and get to know weighting of controls etc.

good luck

awesome this will be one of the best moments of your life, I mean c'mon a z4 sportscar, it really does not get much better than that, i've driven 911's and it aint worth twice the money by far, so enjoy this special day and drive top down, that is a great experience, feel the wind and sun on your face and neck, imagine the feeling, feel the power beneath your feet and the razor sharp steering the z4 offers, the best part of this car is truly and by far is the ability to take turns puts many more expensive cars to shame...really you'll see, exit ramp 35 mph, ha, can be done at 60 in a z4, but don't take my word for it, your in the drivers seat now.

enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!!!

Well I picked her up this afternoon and have been driving round visiting various places since! I am loving the car so far :D the handling, seats, the way the dials light up, everything!!

I do have one issue thought that I have made a thread about I seem to be leaving a puddle everywhere I visit? Its coming from the middle of the car just to the left of the exhaust. I'm going to ring the garage in the morning to see if they can have a look.

Any ideas what it might be?

The car is driving great and feels fantastic! I've had the roof down all afternoon and when necessary had the climate on which I'm very impressed with!!

Lets hope my drips not anything major!
