Just driving

Since I moved to Boston, mass. I have put 1000miles on the zed, 100 to get from A to B the rest for fun

I found myself driving 3 hrs either way to pick up a part at a BMW dealer that I have used before because it was 5 bucks cheaper, nevermind the cost of extra gas I used

You can't beat cleaning the Z on a saturday, and a long drive on the back road  on a sunday :driving:

Do you use your Z4 mainly to get from A to B, or do you just go out and drive for the sake of it ?

I don't actually need to get to many places by car so more than half the time I am driving just for fun.

I think motorcyclists do this but not sure if car drivers, other than me, do it much.

It is my toy and fun car :) will undertake a trip clear across the country from the great lakes of Canada clear across to LA then along the famous California coastal highway 101 and all the way back home :) yes I say it be a fun grand time don't you think so, also will be going thru the desert watching the night sky and :tumbleweed: here and then I'll make a :fuelfire: and cook a nice meal outdoors :) oh yes it be fun.

Watch for posts with pictures and fuel consumption numbers I will keep a very close eye on that :)

Cheers

Take a bottle of tylenol with you, I am only 23 and my back hurt after about 15 hours of driving

Good to know it's not me then with the 'driving for no reason'.

I too thought it was a fad, but 10 weeks after purchase I reckon I'm going on more and more of these trips every week.

No worries johnnyboy I am a tough old German/Canadian square head I'll be just fine (set aside 5 weeks for the trip along Us 66 then 101 along the coast up to Seattle then back east along the northern US No. 2 back to the Great Lakes) :)

X2 I drive for fun     but I need a car to go anywhere so .....

I live in a small town and the Z4 is my daily driver, my commute is less than a km and i STILL manage to put down a couple of hundred miles a week. :driving:

When i first got it i sometimes got up early just to go for a blast before work but i've grown bored of the runs close by so i've noticed that my after work drives are getting longer and longer. Most of my friends can't understand why i just drive with no particular destination in mind.. Oh well. They'll never understand i guess.

daily commute of 12 miles but very occasionally the long way round to go to the shops ! or i will find an excuse to drive to halfrauds to purchase something like an airfresher, or tyre black. i do love my tyre black.

Fun/To work/from work.
I usually use the A12 for my journey to work, and it is 95% of my journey. However, I often use the longer country route for the fun of it en-route to/from work. A smile on the face driving to work is great 'cos it soon gets wiped off when you get there. In fact, a smile on the face is also good on the way home...it soon gets wiped off when you get there..............As Homer would say, "Doh"!

I purchased the Zed as my second car and it is my Toy. I tend to only drive it from the house, get lost for hours, then back to the house.

:)
