Journey to work

You'll be in the new Wallbrook building then Bing when you move to Cannon St? We''ve just re-modelled our All Bar One next door.

Not in London every day but usually twice a week. Based on Euston Road, but a roving role seeing some of our 171 businesses in central London, and looking in the-up-and-coming places to add to the 171.

Correct, my employers will be on the 5th and 6th floors  It's very nice inside, certainly a step up from BTs offices.

If you're down this way you can take me for a pint in your new pub, as I'll be in London quite a lot. Also, a couple of my new customers are owners of pubs & clubs in London and elsewhere so you can educate me :D

I've got some furniture retailers, fashion retailers and a couple of luxury/premium retail brands too. I feel like I need a new wardrobe before going to see them... Clothes that is, not furniture...

Really chuffed for you Bing! :D

sars, whilst I am devastated that your thoughts were not erotic, thank you. I didn't really 'announce' it, just stuck a three word post in the "describe your day in..." thread. Things didn't go exactly to plan, but I'm delighted to be employed after 8 months off, very happy with the employer/role/package etc., and extremely relieved that I was able to start in December so that a) I could un-cancel Christmas, b) do some upskilling before the start of next year as I know nothing about the market, services or my customers, and c) the tax man would agree to take the money I owe out of next year's tax code instead of beggaring me in January

It's a bit weird being in an office again (at least for now) after being a home-based worker for 13+ years, also getting up real early and getting back real late every day... Though I am classed as a remote worker so that will change over time as I settle in. Mrs B has had some adjustment issues too - I don't think she realised (appreciated ? Lol) the amount of stuff I was doing round the house & for the family when I wasn't working [/quote]

Perhaps we meet on customer's sites as well as one of mine is a pub chain company Europe wide for which I am just writing the rota system. That would be weird though :D

Perhaps we should all meet for lunch then! ;)

Would be good to catch-up with old faces and meet new ones. I'll let you know when I'm next around the London Bridge area. Likely to be quite soon because we've got something going on there at the moment.

Sounds like a plan - we'll do some PMing of the above interested parties, just need a few days notice.

@a340driver - cheers :thumbsup:

Arh welcome to the city Bing :)

I'm round the corner from Cannon St stn, on Queen Victoria Street, just past mansion house. My commute is train to waterloo, then waterloo & sh1tty line and a 5 min walk :)

Would be up for a City meet, sans cars!

Also in the city quite often - around London Bridge area - let me know if there is a hook up planned!

I am usually 1 day a week in London, but should be able to decide which day I am there.

OG - one of your pubs then for discounted food? :D

The list grows -

PerryGunn
pvr
Jembo
MrPT
jimmybell
markeg
and me...

Sounds like a party on the cards, I'll not be parking in Bermondsey that day

I wonder if OG counts any gentlemen's clubs in his porfolio :?

Careful, we might get a special Forum deal on Turkey

Crikey there's a fair few of us! I'm sure I can negotiate a nice discount for us all pvr, but sadly Bing, no Gentlemen's clubs in the portfolio!

Dammit :x

Though really, such clubs should be saved for celebrating the signature of large deals :P

Should it become after work drink/dinner near Waterloo or London Bridge I'm there! Doesn't take too long on the train.

Excellent, a veneer of class, finally
