I often feel his refreshing non pc approach chimes with me and I suspect many others.

Exactly that, he says what a lot of people think (but we are not "allowed" to think that). Bit like UKIP in some areas, hence attracting a lot of people.

Agreed. There a very few places in this PC world where you can actually say what you think anymore.

Looks like the BBC want rid of him though, so get it done, lets get Jezza on a TV channel that wants him and will support him. £150m loss to the BBC (because after he leaves the show is dead), but don't worry they will just get this back by putting our licence fees up.

I stopped watching TopGear as its not really made for normal people.
I will never be able to afford a Bugatti/Zonda/Ferrari/Lambo or any other exotic car like this so a program that constantly goes on about them is a bit wearing.
It should wind back a bit and have more day to day cars on it that people can actually relate to.

Like the new MX-5 in the last episode...?

Wouldnt know, I dont watch it anymore.
As a matter of interest, how much of the program featured the MX5?

didnt time it, but probably about 10 minutes...

Anyone signed the petition to keep him? Over 300,000 have so far. Don't think I'll bother.

Perfect opportunity to get rid of all three of them and modernise the show with fresh new presenters and a new programme format
My vote would be for Chris Evans to front it.

What you need to take into account is that most people on this forum are car enthusiasts. Top Gear really isn't the best programme for car enthusiasts.
The millions who watch it are people who are interested in cars but ultimately watch it to be entertained and for that, it's a really good watch.
It's really not a serious car review show, there's other show's that do that better.

The three of them work really well together, which is why the show is so successful.
I'm not bothered either way what happens to Jezza. I do like the fact he speaks his mind tho.
(I hope they don't get rid of Hammond :D )

Very well said, not sure about Hammond though, he does seem to attract all the female viewers, his size maybe?

Clarkson regularly takes the mick out of the height from Hammond, so why is there no "uproar" about that but there is when it is about Asians? I am sure that Asians will have words for white Europeans for example, does not bother me in the slightest.

The PC business really annoys me which is why I liked him as a presenter.

It will not be TopGear without him. AS Carol said above it's not really a car program as such, its an entertainment show, one which I enjoy.

Fifth Gear all the way for me... far better show.
Yeah it would be good if it was on freeview

If they boot him from the BBC then this is where he will end up within 3 months, BBC cannot afford to mess up a show that is broadcast simultaneously in 20 countries. :violent1:

There is life after Clarkson, get rid of him and his archaic views!
No one would miss May and Hammond tries too hard to be funny, which he's not.
