The forthcoming Coupe is much better looking.

I wonder if the f type forum will have such a coupe roadster divide?????????????????????

I be been on a few Jag sites - usual stuff - "coupe is prettier, will it be more expensive I don't get open top motoring"

We could write it for them.. Oh most sales are expected to be roadsters so the coupe will be more.. exclusive.

There was one on the M40 (near Gaydon) at 6.30 this morning. - no pics, it was pretty dark.

- a roadster, all cammoed up (checked tape). I spotted a shape ahead of me and raced to catch it, since it looked 'interestingly mean'. (I initially thought Aston or Porsche.) Very wide/low/waisted look.

- looked great from the back. - really kick-ass.

I passed at it turned off at Gaydon. So much for the cammo, - it had F-Type wriiten in huge letters down the side...

In fact, it was this one: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=f+type+jag&num=10&hl=en&tbo=d&biw=1280&bih=664&tbm=isch&tbnid=EEaTM4PetQ20pM:&imgrefurl=http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4642540/Unlaunched-Jaguar-F-Type-spotted-in-Welsh-village.html&docid=4x-WT8WQbPrdOM&imgurl=http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01619/F-type-Jag_620_1619352a.jpg&w=620&h=447&ei=HyPCUJ7cHMmh4gS1y4DQDw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=826&vpy=275&dur=148&hovh=191&hovw=264&tx=187&ty=132&sig=101953676394622035786&page=2&tbnh=140&tbnw=182&start=20&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,r:35,s:0,i:194

rayz4 see if you can see how much the road tax is on the disc might give some indication on engine size etc

This is the 3.0 (central exhausts). The 5.0 has 2 on each side.

Had a play with the F Type configurator. Using the base V6 as a start, I stopped at £75,000! :o

Didn't dare try the V8 configurator! They have some nice options for them though!

Or just substitute with ' less popular'

Did a tour of the Jag factory just before Xmas and was taken to a more restricted area than most tours. F Types, 4WD Jags, etc.

Fantastic to see touch and feel the only road registered F Types around and a line of pre prods. They were simply awesome in the flesh with such attention to detail like the switches all on the door card, concealed door handles and beautiful detail on the rear lights, exhaust, diffuser, etc.

Only 1 item I was unsure of and it's the large diagonal grab handle from dash to console, but I'd live with it if someone gave me one

its lovely - just too heavy, 300kg heavier than a boxster and 200kg heavier than a 911 - hope they make it in the midlands, dosen't birmingham have the most miles of canals in europe

Yes - it will be made at the Castle Brom factory along with the XF's and XJ's.

Birmingham is often touted to have more miles of canals than Venice

I think it's a different car and market to the Porsche. Still weight aside the 911 Carrera turbo with similar performance is £118 Vs £79k, so will be very competitive.
