I believe that you can by a jack and wheel brace from BMW. Does anybody know the part number for this bit of kit?

If I'm at home I use a 17mm socket and ratchet to remove and a torque wrench to tighten, the wheel brace is for emergency use only.marypoppins said:I want to remove the rear wheels to paint the" top hat" section that's why I need a wheel brace.

I keep them in the side spaces in the boot for emergencies and use a trolley jack at home.
I am running non-RFTs and have done for years, I do carry a bottle of goo and compressor besides the battery (I think it is a Continental Mobility Kit) but with the jack and brace I'm just covering all bases never you never know what might happen and knowing my luck I'll get a puncture that the goo can't seal for whatever reason.Bing said:RichardG - do you carry this because you have non-RFTs and it is easier to get goo in and inflate the tyre with it jacked ? Or is it really a 'just in case' bit of kit because there is any number of reasons you might need a jack ? Only asks I ave only just gotten RFTs and am now paranoid I am a piece of kit down :?
