I've ordered my new Z4.

I would do anything to have the keys in my hand today! Sleeping with the dealer is less than half way down the list of the things I'd do. I wonder why my build time is less? I thought I had been very picky with my options, so maybe I am just lucky.

For the record, my options are a 35is with:
Black Sapphire
Coral Red interior
Dark ash trim
326 wheels
Comfort package
Smokers delete
Lumbar support
Seat heating
DAB radio
Bluetooth
Free navigation...

Maybe you've picked something which takes longer to make?

I've started planning my route home on delivery day. It involves lots of pointless detours, and probably a tank or two of petrol.

Just curious.... Any news on your order?
My dealer has suggested that I might be getting the car sooner,
Though still a bit skeptical.
Going crazy with all the waiting, and now thinking about ordering winter wheels/tyres at same time.
 
It only took 1 month to build mine last year (probably because 23i was less complicated than 35is :P ).

My car has been built and is somewhere in transit! I'm picking it up on 26th May. It seems very odd that it takes so long to get here from Regensburg. I wish that I'd organised to collect it from the factory. I'd have it by now.

I keep seeing Z4's too. I want mine!

are you able to collect BMW cars from the factory? I have collected a few Mercedes from Germany and its a really good experience.Never been offered the chance from BMW .

I wasn't being completely serious! I just want my car quickly.

And I wouldn't trust myself with a Bavarian car collection. I would likely thrash the daylights out of it on the Autobahn.

there was some talk about it a few years ago when BMW built their new collection place ,Most people in Europe collect from the factory.They did think about extending it to UK .The only other manufacturer that I know offers the collection is Porsche, but they charge a ridiculous amount to do so .The Mercedes trip is free or was, with a charge for extra passengers

I have been informed that it has been built and should have it by end of month (possibly picking up for bank holiday weekend?) ...but I will believe it when it happens.

Seems that there are three of us buying a 35is at exactly the same time. We may all be on the same production batch.
