Over on DW, pet dryers like the Aeolus, were the cheaper alternative to the Air Force Master Blaster until the Sidekick became available. The Aeolus gives about a 65mph air blast compared to 200mph for the Sidekick as pets don't need such a forceful blast - although it would be interesting to see how far you could move a pekenese across a tiled floor using the Sidekick :evil:cesela said:Alternative option, very powerful and does a great job of getting all the water out of the panel gaps ...

Cost last year was £85 delivered.
You can use it for more than the car... tell her she can use it to blow spiders out of the house... :?m_lehcim said:DAMNIT!! I started reading this thinking if its under £100 I want one... GRRRRR why did you have to post the price!!
I can hear it now from SWMBO 'more money spent on that bloody car'...
Think I agree with you - having used one I couldn't see myself trying to blow dry the whole car but the Sidekick is just right for getting water out of those annoying places that you either can't reach or are a pain with a towel (e.g. the boot & door hinge areas or the wheel bolt recesses)Atom1 said:Hate to say it, I spent £200 on the Air Force Vac. Used it 3 times and got rid, absolute garbage.
By the time you get one panel done the entire car has dried and your stuck with horrid water marks!!
Cool piece of kit just not as good as it looks or sounds when advertised. For the money its crazy, just like I was, lol!
Iv since started to use Henry Hoover to suck the water from cracks and crevices once iv towel dried the car.
Just put a finger between the plastic accessorie and the trim to avoid scratches. Removes water rather than chasing it round the car with an air blower, lol.
The side kick looks an altogether better option for the money. I may re invest!?
Thanks for the post![]()
I guess that you've got a compressor then?the cueball said:I had one (the Chemical guys version) think I used it 5 times max.... then realised its a bit rubbish, and at the end of the day, compressed air works just the same....
