It's Official, Z2 in 2016

Well I know one thing i wont be buying one , i still dont understand why people talk about economy and sports cars in the same breath

So looks like my M will be my last BMW roadster - here's hoping jag do a baby F Type to compete with the Boxter. Or the Alfa version of the MX-5 will be worth a look.

Looks like Zeds dead :?

I'd be interested to see a Z2MC. Surely logic dictates that if they build a rubbish car it wont work commercially for them, so I for one am at least open minded for this and have a little faith in the prospective results.

And anyway come launch it will be RWD and supercharged...probably.

If they build it on the mini underpinnings, it could be FWD or even AWD. The John Cooper Works Cooper S is a total hoot and handles like it's on rails so don't write it off completely.

by 2016 the "F" type will have depreciated to affordable levels ...........bye bye BMW if a Z2 is the only alternative :(

Only problem is that the road tax will be HUGE for 3.0+ltr cars by then, not to mention the gas pumps

I don't think relatively speaking it will be much dearer than it is now.

I can't see them increasing VED that much more per year than they are already.
