It's idiots like this that give cyclists a bad name...

As bad as that looks.. i have seen worse in london.

I like how the lady on the phone stepped back after it happens!

What a complete f**kwit, what made me laugh was the person who then followed him through, bikes over taking the bus on both sides. Have to say my biggest annoyance with cyclists is those who think it is ok to rest against your car when stopped at lights. Did a reverse once in Glasgow a few years ago when one did it to me causing him to fall over, bet he's never done it again.
A couple of months ago I was out with my mate in his new car, we pulled into a shop car park next to a motorbike while I nipped into the shop the biker came out, never saw my mate sitting in the car and proceeded to rest his helmet on the boot with a less than light touch, Rather than say anything to him my mate just drove out the car park with the bikers lid still on the boot, I saw it from the shop, it was quite funny watching him run after the car.

Excellent footage.

I too am i daily bicycle commuter into London and see some interesting sights. In general though the vast majority of other road users drive excellently. No getting away from the fact though that we're all trying to get somewhere - which creates pressure and makes some people 'drive' less carefully than others. We need to all share the roadspace and certainly in built-up areas we need to slow down - I've probably set an alarm off wth one of the admins on this forum!! :fuelfire: .

If you ever drive through SW Londons morning rush hour you'll undoubtedly see me on my bicycle....

I'M THE ONE THAT HAS STOPPED AT A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT.

I try to maintain a cool and polite approach to other road users, even in the inevitable near-death moments that are thankfully quite rare, and usually purely accidental. I keep my eyes and ears open all the time. Sunsequently the one thing the F$%^&G drives me over the edge is ....

MOBILE PHONE USERS.

Bring back public stocks?

aha, someone else who stops at red lights :D regular commute for me is from Clapham Junction to Chiswick along the south circular... so many of the other cyclists take to the pavements to avoid stopping at them or just sail straight through them. Laugh is I always catch up and overtake them a few minutes up the road :D

and +1

I hope the driver followed him round the corner and beat the sh*t out of him - he doesn't deserve any better. TWAT :headbang:

What a plum. It's high time cyclists took responsibility for their awful decisions

Tax them, make them take a road test, licence plate their bikes for the road and fine them for poor road use.

No doubt cyclists with common sense would complain but sure the same could be said of car drivers with common sense.
erm.... we ARE taxed... car tax DOES NOT pay for the roads.... that would be your COUNCIL TAX....

Perhaps, but drivers also have to pay licensing fees yearly / registration fees, road tolls, and gasoline 'tax' (specifically roadwork). Also have to learn the rules of the road.

I bicycle to work during the summer months, and I firmly believe that if anyone is using public city roads whether by car, motorcycle, or bicycle... they should need to take a license test that they understand the rules of the roads / signs, right of way, etc.

I am disgusted everytime I see a cyclist ride through a red light / cross walks, or not come to a full stop before turning onto a new street during a red---sometimes endangering pedestrians in the process.

many of whom forget the rules the minute they drive off after the test. Also many of the cyclists I know, also drive cars so also pay all those taxes as well - are you suggesting we should pay even more? Yearly registration fees? What are they? Road tolls - how many cyclists use toll roads - didnt think we were allowed on motorways?

compulsory testing would be a good idea  unworkable I fear though :(

yep me too, and don't get me started with cyclists who ride with no lights and dark clothing in the winter months or the ones who are totally oblivious to all around them because they have their iPod's plugged in

Those cyclists thought they were racing Tour de France.

They also should not be allowed to ride on the roads where the speed limit is 40mph or above.

:fuelfire: LOL. Ban all cyclists and pedestians and all cars with less than 150bhp I say :poke:

or maybe a more mature approach is to accept that a certain % of all road users are complete f$%^&wits, give them a wide berth and drive safely and sensibly. I've a tendency to drive slightly more erratically now I own a Z4, as I suspect some others on here probably lapse occasionally too. How on earth M owner keep their licences is beyond me!!

LOL indeed,

so all the quiet country lanes with a national speed limit of 60 mph are off limits. Sorry but get real.

If mopeds are not allowed on motorways, similar approach should be applied to bicycles. They create hazards for both cyclists and drivers.

but cyclists aren't allowed on motorways either :?

you cannot blanketly say ban cyclists from roads with speed limits above 40mph (and yes it IS possible for cyclists to go faster than 40mph). There are many many country roads along which the speed limit is 60mph but is unsafe for a car to be doing such speeds along them. Would you advocate taking cyclists of those roads as well?

Oh dear, some folk on here really aren't being realistic.

Perhaps more people need to experience what it's actually like on a bicycle on a public road and how vunerable you can be, then come back and post again

Doesn't get away from the fact that the guy in that video was a muppet of the highest order.

I know exactly how vulnerable the cyclists are on the 40+mph B roads, when other cars drive pass within speeed limit (60mph). This is why I suggest it will be better for not allowing cyclists to those roads.

I personally will never ride the bike on B-roads.

Eh? So you are suggesting taking cyclists off B roads? That means we can only cycle on A roads which are generally busier and where average speeds are higher. Great idea. Not. 
