Italian Grand Prix - come on Lewis !!

My loyalties are pretty self evident and I can't wait to see the outcome this afternoon - let's hope it pans out to be a good fight . Lewis clearly blew Nico away on Q3 yesterday - mentally he seems to be in the right place despite yet another hiccup when an electrical problem cost him an hour's practice on Friday . At least it's live on BBC - I hate Sky so each time there is only highlights I have to keep away from any News until it's on - I love the trio of presenters - especially EJ.

We will settle down just after noon to watch the build up - "we" includes my 88 yr old mum-in-law who know all the teams , drivers , gossip and even technical terms relating to tyres etc - she loves Lewis , JB and Smiley man DR.

I'm with you all the way
Will be sitting down and watching on my new 55" TV with a nice bottle of Italian wine to toast his win in Monza

Great driving from Lewis. Nico was properly beaten, fair and square. Great to see.

Podium girls weren't too bad either

(Rosberg was average again)

I doubt it - LH was just quicker and Rosberg flapped hence out braking himself and loosing the lead. NB just played it safe at the end as he had no answer to LH usual superior pace

Not a chance it was team ordered - he locked up both times he did it, had he tried to turn while lifting off the brakes he'd have gotten out of shape real fast. Pressure pure and simple, braking too late and too hard.

Even if the team tried to issue an order like that, can you imagine him going along with it...?

Lewis is the better racing driver and Rosberg knows it, the only reason that he's ahead of LH in the WC is because he's had better reliability (ignore Monaco & Spa  )

Great race but shame LuLu won (I am not a fan of his at all - he's turned form a decent chap to the ultimate chav imo)

When was he ever a decent chap? He's an out and out thoroughbred racer.

Did he listen to his engineer when he told Lewis to back off and leave a 2-2.5 second gap? Or did he carry on putting pressure on Nico, which ultimately was the best decision.

f**k that calculating types, we want drama!!!

Haha, yeah that was a perfect exchange - don't think the team minded too much either. Lewis seems to have a little extra speed over Nico on most tracks but it's been very noticeable at Monza - maybe 0.2-0.3s all weekend.

Great race, although a big shame for Alonso and Ferrari, I thought. How about Kvyat sideways on the grass too? Pretty epic! :driving:

Apart from the start it was a perfect performance

Hopefully he can close the gap and make that last race interesting.

A cracking GP overall with some great overtakes, and plenty of incident. Tardy start by Lewis, but a great recovery and showed who was the master behind the wheel :driving: He worried Rosberg out of a wheel to wheel duel by forcing him into a second mistake at the chicane.
But the move of the day for me was by Ricciardo on Vettel. Well set up by him from the chicane, and an excellent split second switch to take him on the inside at the next. Very impressed by his driving in the last few races, a champion in the making for sure.
