Is your Z4 a daily driver or for weekends only?

From this time of the year until the clocks change in the autumn, mountain bike is the daily driver. Z4 is my only car (tempted by a Panda 4x4 though, I'll find an excuse). Happily use the Z4 all year round as needed - including in the recent snow :thumbsup:

Snowboard goes in the passenger seat as required. Otherwise soft roof racks should do the trick.

Overall though reference the Z4, if you can, you should :wink:
 
Daily use car and I do over 500 miles per week, get one and you will not regret it, but get a roadster :driving:

mine is a weekend toy, thats why i'm not as good a driver as others hehe
 
To all those that have roadsters, have you tried the coupe? Obviously it's drop top but is there anything else that makes it a better car? Is there an equivalent 3.0l option in the roadster (damn I'm even considering it now :D )
 
It's my only car, but I mainly only use it on the weekend, so not sure which catagory i fall under. :)
 
What year did the facelift come in? Is there a thread with such info on here so I don't have to ask a million questions? :D
 
Z4 is easily towards the daily driver end of the spectrum really.

It copes with every normal day to day use I have thrown at it.

Personally I'd have preferred the Z4 to be a bit harder than it is. It does seem very nice all said and done. No bad thing, but I wouldn't want to go softer and more compromised otherwise you may as well just get a sporty normal car, then at least you get a decent boot and back seats :)

Don't let the roadster looks make you think it's old-school roadster like a TVR Tamora or something... imo...

Daily drive and only car for me.... travel around 200 miles a week... plus Derby to N.London monthly to see the folks.

Although i do have access to a big old estate pool car at work if i need to lug around something big.
 
I guess I'd say Weekend...

Work from home, so don't have a commute ( :D ), and we generally use the GF's Figaro for inner city trips to the shops/relatives/friends etc. The Zed is for long(ish) journeys and fun-time. I do use it for client visits and the occasional trip to the shops (if the GF's out in the Figgy) though.
 
Daily driver. When the weather gets a bit cold, I tone it down a bit (tires loose a bit of grip when around freezing) but I've never had trouble getting it to go. Oh, and coupes rule! :driving:
 
Daily driver, and since changing my job in August last year I've been doing 440 miles / week in it. It's a fine daily driver, yes a little on the hard side (suspension) but if that was a problem you wouldn't use it at the weekend either, and does 33-34mpg all week long.

Since we're getting rid of the more practical hack (Ford Focus) I am considering swapping it for a 330i Touring.....although it will be extremely tough to let it go if that's the decision we come to :(
 
I drive my zed to work everyday :) , and use the Polo for shopping at weekend (too risky for leaving zed at public car parks).
 
Daily driver. 50 Mile commute a day for work, and add a few more on for errands here and there.

It does not help that the missus prefers the Z to her 1.4i Astra, so it used a fair bit, apart from the odd 200 mile trip here and there.
 
Daily commuter - of course only on sunny days, and my commute is only 2 miles each way...Best 4 miles of the day.
 
Daily driver, 12.5 miles each way dual carriageway against traffic, so no stop/start.
