Is there a UK version of the US Homecoming?

Well I suppose everyone could gather around the BMW engine factory in Coleshill. Although they don't make Z4 engines....

What about that one your twin brother David used to organise or something to that effect...in Scotland or up in northern England. You know, where Ginger originated.

Twin bro? I seem to recall the two of you getting along quite chummily. Why don't you ring him up? I bet he'd do anything for his big bro...

Yeah, like a steak knife in my eye socket.

That was then, this is now: I am now a sensitive, touchy feelie type of guy. I consider others feelings and thoughts with sympathy and understanding. Why they would not adopt my proven belief system is beyond me, but sod them....in a nice gentle way. I put away my .44 Magnum and now only carry a .380 which again reaches out saying: "I no longer have to be a big gun, I can be small, just like yours." :ninja:

I was reading about this the other day.

Kind of thing I would love to go too, but the drive is a little far for me

My mini 2.0 engine is made in the UK, so perhaps I could go and camp out side the factory for a weekend - not quite the same I expect!!

Drink a gallon (UK) of Stella every day, hang out with the lads and have a large photo taken of the hungover ones and it'll be just like at Homecoming US.

So if we drink a gallon of Stella, you guys must need to drink at least 10x that of your weak stuff ;)

You've been watching too many movies...we are BMW drivers: we only drive snobby imported beers.

The only US beers I like are Sam Adams, and Sierra Nevada somethingorother.

Was a joke though when I went to the US between the ages of 18 and 21 - I could drink here, but over there I had to sneak booze around!

We, as a nation, aren't mature enough to handle adult beverages under the age of 21. In the UK, well...

I did a big summer party last year where we had a few of the British (and EU) crowd gather at Dunsfold for tour of the curcuit then a BBQ at a local hotel. It was a bitch to organise so many people, but worth it.

I'm not doing one this year, but maybe next.
