Is new Z4M coming?

Really? I think it looks brilliant myself...
ah but life would be boring if we all thought the same :D

just something not right (IMO) about the rear hatch treatment and the body lines...

the answer is 1M ...

it weighs about the same, has the same peak power but loads more torque and back seats..

m3 suspension and quick steering... looks very butch and in line with the old z3m coupe. in fact, quite a few of the z3m guys have traded up to the UK limited to 450 examples 1m.

guys, you are safe with the last e46 m3 engined M Coupe.... it is no more.......

The problem used car buyers are going to have with these turbo-nutter machines is that almost every one of them will get chipped - for increased fuel economy of course :| - and then sold on with the new owner knowing little of it's 'performance' history.

Much less damage would be caused with a chipped n/a car than with a turbo-charged car, and I pity the new owner who starts to have transmission problems (as owners of chipped 335i/335d/535d cars are finding)

The 1m is not appealing at all it is ugly, e92 all the way.

I like that design just needs the roof lowered at the rear a bit.

the question I think is that it will be a less unruly car than our z4m and with fixed production, the appeal of having 1 of 450 is undeniably attractive.

though i agree, looks are subjective. Somehow, the z3m had lots more character.. Having a wide arch kit does not make a 1 series into the breadvan

Dont care how good the 1m is supposed to be, it's an astra rival.. 2 seater niche sports car (& convertible for me) or hot hatch - don't care how many they made it's not a comparison.

alas there's no way bmw would launch a v8 Z4M now, all this talk about turbo chargers & co2 just wouldn't make sense - although an Alpina one would be great.

Not seen any existing Z4M owner move to a 35is. The new cars are just not up to M level, so there is definately scope of another M as otherwise where can M owners move on to next?
Correct... The new Z4 is more focused on comfort then the previous model. I also don't like the metal folding roof. To heavy and no space in the trunk when the roof is open.

actually ive changed my mind, i really cant see this happening, the car would be crazy expensive, the v8 will die in with the M3, bmw have said that themselves, remember the e85/6 did not sell anywhere near as well as bmw thought, why?? cost, it was just to expensive, it is infact one of bmw best cars for a very long time, it just seems to have slipped under the radar alittle, i just cant see bmw making the same costly mistake again, put simply a V8 z4m just isnt feasible,
+1 In these times I don't see it happen...

i would love one but if it happens man....... ill be buying one for sure.
If a new Z4M V8 would exist...don't know if I will buy one. If it's hardcore and back to basics like the last Z4M, then maybe... But It will be more expensive then a e85/86 Z4M to buy and also to run (bigger taxes, insurance, etc). A Z4M was already an expensive car to buy when new. If it would exist I think the price of a new Z4M V8 is gonna be minimum 70- 75.000euro for the base model.

The ONLY time i'll believe that there will be a new Z4M will be when we see pics of an E89 on the Ring, with 'bird-poo' paint and 4 exhaust pipes.

- that's ALWAYS been the way.
