Is it acceptable to de-badge an M???

I've always taken the badges off my cars, including my 335i.
I refer the cleaner look, and its more fun when the boy racers have a go.

Is it acceptable to pull the badges off an M or will I be lynched???

There are quite a few debadged M's kicking about. All personal choice.

Personally I like the badges, but the clean understated look could be a winner also.

Just make sure you don't sell your un-required badges to a 316i owner

Sides yes, rear no. Although have been contemplating removing it too.

///M badge means nothing now given every M Sport car comes with them.

Quad exhausts is all you need to know.

I de badged my M///C a long time ago and I'm happy with the result,i don't feel I need to let everyone know it's a M and people who know their cars will see that it's an M just by looking at it,each to their own I guess

Mine was debadged by the previous owner, just taken delivery of a new set. Still annoys me that there isn't a specific z4m badge though. Instead it's the same one every man and his dog puts on his 320d :/

Hence the reason it's okay to debadge then! :P

No, they were stripped of their rights to sport the M badge after crashing it

It's your car. Stick Lada badges all over it and brush paint it fluorescent pink if that's what makes you happy.

Most people who know what an ///M badge is about, will also know what the rear aero and Four pipes are about, so doesn't exactly hide what the car is, when you remove it. Purely on looks I like it myself. I think it needs something on the back to ballance the key hole for the boot. 8)

No crime removing it though.

Never realy notice the ones on the side.

I like the Q car look, OK ///M aficionados will clock the quad pipes but 99% of the sort of people that want to mess you about won't know what just happened 8)

Has to be said, i'm also considering de-badging. More as a subtle f**k you to the 320D brigade and BMW for effectively making the halo brand M - Sport the The Ford Ghia of the modern age.

The final straw for me was having a 5 series on my bumper with his m badge on the grill. Surprise Surprise it was a E60 530, so only missing 4 cylinders and BMW didn't put the badge on the grill. Grrr!!

Yes, people are free to do what they like, it just makes me weep.

Saw an Alpine E30 yesterday that was the absolute definition of understated cool. :)

Now that's branding :)

I might de-badge mine. Or someone posted a pic of some black M badges, that would be quite understated on a black car.
