iPhone 6 snap-in phone adapter

Has anyone got one in their car?

The reason I ask is that I phoned Sopers to order one and was told that there isn't one for an E89, then I phoned the dealer that I bought the car from who said that there is one (part No 84212407464) which confuses me.

Bought one 2 weeks ago DLH, called in as I was passing the dealers and they'd got one in stock. It was for an iPhone 5s. Get one, they boost the phone signal as well, brilliant kit.

I asked about the same thing a few weeks ago and was told that there currently isn't one available for the Iphone 6.

Stratstone in Chesterfield have them for the iPhone 6 in stock part no: 84212365786.

Sorry not meaning to argue with you or Andyarmra but I'm sure they had them in when I called in for mine couple of weeks ago so just rang them.

Thanks for that John. Confusing as that is a different part number! I guess the only way is going to be a visit to the dealer's and make sure that the phone fits the adapter and works!

Last I checked there wasn't one for the iPhone 6/6S for the E89, as the adapter is too wide apparently but it is available for other BMW models.

Just had a look at the BMW USA website and entered my E89's details and it appears that my dealer is correct as the part number matches. I'll go in this afternoon and get one methinks!

I bought one today, it holds / charges the phone and the signal is improved by using the car's aerial apparently. It's quite expensive for what it is at £179 and requires the phone case to be removed each time, so I'm guessing that quite a few folk won't bother buying one.

There is two, the one you've been sold also allows the music to be played via it. There is a media version and a non media version. The non media version is under £100. And yes the taking it out and in is a pain. I was about to buy a new cover but as I then can remove it it would make the adaptor redundant. Grrrrrr!
