My daughter's iPhone 5 developed a fault at 13 months old with the on / off button, it basically does not work.
Out of warranty, so Apple washes their hands of it, and even though it is within the 2 year EU law Car phone warehouse (bought through O2 at the time) basically say - sue us if you want it replaced. They quote that the fault has to be notified within 6 months of owning the handset (huh ???).
If you had bought from Apple direct, it would have been covered by the 2 year warranty. Buy from O2 or anyone else - you are buggered after the 12 months.
Has anyone had success in dealing with phone providers for iPhone outside the 12 months period?
