There are other products available but if you look at any of the other ultra portables they are the same price if not more expensive like the Sony Vaio Duo. I dont think any of them have taken the haswell architecture with PCIX SSD technology. The Macbook Air was one of the very first to uptake this tech which is why its so good. You cant buy anything on the market that offers the same as the Macbook Air.
Surface pros are awful. They have sold 1.7 million units since launch in June. The iPad has sold 14.6 million in the same time scale, Apple sold 3 million iPads in just 3 todays in November 2012. Hence why they have halved the price of it and its still crap, buying into a dyeing system is a stupid idea, the second gen will be just as poor. As long as Balmer is in charge, Microsoft will continue to loose market share.
