Hmm,
Interesting, I wonder if the once a minute gps would be enough for navigating by car? I'm not sure it would.

Well at 60mph it will be 1 mile out during each refresh.
 
The other option you have when you have a mini, is sell it and buy a data one! I found that all apple products hold there value, sell wi-fi only and get the GPS model. I don't need a sim card in it to use navigation. I picked up a mint 4G black mini on ebay for £170 and sold my previous wifi version for almost the same.
 
Any current progress pics? It's things like this that make me wish I didn't have nav, can't go pulling the stereo with the nav already installed

Nope :thumbsdown: i have had a tad of bad luck, including sensors, tyres x4, struts (Machine Monkey Legend), torn roof, leaking lights lol :headbang: i can even think about how much money I have spent this month..... :headbang:

There will be some progress shortly, promise :thumbsup:

it was all going so well with the draft template until we figured out that magnets did a crap job of holding the mini in an almost vertical position as the dash is that way in the zed! when the master template is finished the 2nd will be easier!
 
Just finished mine, its not flush fitted, but its all up and working.

I used a universal mount and screwed it to the centre vents!

I now have spotify for my music, bbc iplayer for the mrs on long journeys, facebook for when im stuck in traffic, and youpawn when im stuck in traffic for a long time. :D

Looking good. I'd gloss / piano black the dash so it blends in well. (Guessing you'll be painting/wrapping one way or another)

Oh yes, black Alcantara acorss the two centre trims and then black carbon hydro dipping the rest :thumbsup:
