Intravee update Version 6.02-6993

OK, when opening the COM port in the downloader, change the speed from 115,200 to 38,400, that's the default if the baud code in EEPROM is incorrect.

Tried that, still gibberish. Tried lower speeds and still the same.

I'm gonna try using a different laptop. Hopefully tomorrow.

The only other thing and I don't know if this could be causing the problem. When I first Installed I had hiss over the BUS. I think it was you who suggested over on Intravention, alternative jumper positions? It didn't help with the hiss but wonder if this could be causing problems?

Thanks Again

Jim

Try 57,600.

Eureka.....it's working.

Didn't work at 57,600....still gibberish.
Upped it to 115,200....no gibberish....correct echo....firmware updated. :D

Tried all the baud rates again after update completed and the only one that works for me is 115,200.

So thanks for all your help......would of given up without your assistance. Really appreciate that you've taken time to assist.

Regards

Jim

Hmm, 115,200 is what it should be!

What were you using before?

I'd been through all the baud rates from 115,200 downwards prior to you suggesting that the Intravee should be in "Radio" mode.

Can only think that I didn't retry the 115,200 again after.

Sorry about this......just hope someone else on here can get something from this if they run into similar problems.

Will have to try my original Startech lead again at some point.

Regards

Jim

Some apps default to 9600,n,8,1 and there's always the x-on/x-off vs DTR/RTS handshaking. RS-232 is a PITA. I still have some breakout boxes at home from my old engineering days :D

Cheers. I was thinking more of the manual with the detailed instructions etc and the command line reference if it's changed

Just updated mine yesterday and a friends (after all the pain of previous attempts) and worked

Radio as Source, the highest baud setting and I used the tronisoft cable.

Very happy, and thanks to all for the assist.

Thank You Mac.

Updated and working, excellent stuff

BUT - I have updated my mates which is installed on an M3 E46 o6 plate and the lighting control isn't showing up.

The nav is set to Mk4-1/40 and Car type as E46 type 2, and i've downgraded and gone through all firmware sequentially just in case and nothing.
Are these updates just for the Z4? even the folding mirrors isn't an option or locking functions... any ideas?

Also for the Z4, the Auto lock... whats that? is it to lock the car if you forget?
