Anyone recommend the best cable for connecting the intravee to a laptop? I'm sure I saw a post on the intravention website with some suggestions, but I'll be blowed if I can find it now!!!

Bit more info for you folks, a response from Intravee re some of the features.

We've not had many reports from Z4 owners. We've never managed to get folding mirrors working, we believe the mirror module in the Z4 is not connected to the iBus. Auto lock/unlock may work with one of the E46 types, it may not. The blink count option may or may not work with the Z4, the messages sent are car type dependent, you may find the feature works with the car type set to E46 type 1.

Looks like a suck it and see job on these points.

Yes, I was the only beta tester for a Z4 and ran a lot of diagnostics for the folding mirrors. Did not work.

Uploaded the latest software tonight, on my car auto lock works if I select e46 type ii and the indicator blink only works with type I. So I can't use both.

After re coding some things on my car I realise why I couldn't do yours at the London meet. Let my know if you want your indicators done so you can use type two for the locks.

Daz kindly sent me the update ending 23 as opposed to the one I guess we both had previously that ended 17.

I can confirm the blink can be set at the same time now as auto locking. Have set map zoom but not tested, plan to read the rest of the instructions now.

Good work by the intravee team, extra features for free - bonus. Already had locking and PDC info from their last update, the indicator flash was what I wanted which now works.

Just had a quick read of their website and it looks as if it's best to register there and ask for the beta z4 version. They normally respond within an hour or so, their service is incredibly fast and efficient.

Has anybody found out how to display outside temp permanently? I read you can do this?

Also I read you can get some name displayed on the little speedo screen, anybody know how?

Not heard of either, what's the little speedo screen? Are you sure intravee does this and not the BMW on board display?
