Intravee Extra Features

Need some help guys, I think my intravee has gone into a reboot loop and I can't get it out!!
I was part way through loading the new firmware and the battery in my laptop died. Now when I connect the intravee and open the downloader tool, all i get is lines and lines of garbeled characters.
I've tried pressing the C key repeatedly as it says on the Intravee forum, but no such luck, still doing it!!
Have e-mailed them also, but thought I would ask here too....

Ouch. You need to find out if there is a loader procedure that you can put it into. Unfortunately, because most manufacturers keep the flash memory sizes down you overwrite the existing memory during an update so a fail partway through bricks the unit.

Yeah I've had a good read through the forum, including the page that you mentioned. It was there that it talks about it going into a bootup-loop and to keep pressing the C key repeatedly to get it out. Will have to see what they come back with!

The one I have has the most annoying bug where the iPod data etc stays on the screen even with the radio or cd on.nintravee are currently trying to work it out although they said they have never seen it before?!

I've just updated the firmware on my Intravee and must admit that the Extras features really do appeal to my inner geek.
One thing I have noticed though within the car status information, the max RPM indicator seems to have an upper limit of 6500rpm and the G meters have a limit of +/- 0.532gs.
Has anyone else found this?

Mine still hasn't arrived 
Prompt response as ever from the support team. The issue lies with the fact that the measurements are only being taken every two seconds from the cluster and as such under full bore acceleration it's unlikely to catch the peak RPM in that respective period before changing gear. Same applies to the G measurements too.
If you mail them with the serial number of the Intravee you bought they'll set you up an account on their forum. They did it all same day with me and sent me links to manuals, latest firmware etc

Yep, I'm not putting mine in until I've got a working USB to serial cable that I'll install permanently. Intravision sent me a link to one they recommended (they don't sell them themselves) so I've ordered and hopefully it'll turn up in the week
