This post is for Intravee owners who may not be ware of the extra features available, or for those who keep thinking about an Intravee.

There are a number of useful features available, these ones I have tested and they work.

PDC on Sat Nav Screen

Sorry no pics of this and the graphics are fairly basic, but the rear PDC will show on the Nav Screen giving you a visual representation of where the obstacle is.

Service Information

Details amount of fuel used, number of days till next service, how many oil changes and how many inspection services have been carried out.

Journal

17 Journeys can be recorded in detail, and using a laptop they can all be extracted.

This can be very useful when you take your car in for a service as it acts as a black box recorder

I keep seeing this Intravee mentioned. Just assumed it was a way of connecting your iPod to the car? :|

I mainly listen to the radio, is it worth me getting one of these? Are they difficult to fit?

Intravee is indeed an iPod connection kit, and as it has a connection to the bus, it can be used to send signals to the bus to do other things such as the extras.

Still trying to get the auto folding mirrors to work. Nice new trick I am trying is to auto unlock the doors when you take the key out, have it on the X5 and like it very much.

I was gonna buy the USB Diagnostics OBD Cable Interface that srhutch and others have but will see if this will do the things I want first.

I have most of these but not the 3 flash indicator thing and the nav zoom. What is the latest software version?

Ok as a gadget junkie this is really appealing to me :)

Is there a certain one we need? Also can you retain the CD Changer with one?

I have one from my E46 that had nav, now running through standard bus head unit. If you have Nav, stop messing about and buy one!

The alpine bit you need you can usually find at about half the price on eBay

So its exactly the same one for the E46 and the Z4? Damn it, now I'm going to need 2!! ;)

What sort of things are you looking to program jimbo?

The indicators flashing on lock/unlock and the door lock when driving away I think are all I want. :scratchhead:
Meant to ask you about this at the London Meet but forgot. I think you had your lappy with you?

the indicators you would have to do with the Intravee, I did try it on mine just to test but it didn't work but that maybe because I have already programmed mine for 3 flash via the laptop. Locks can also be done with laptop as I have with mine, and there are also options with the Intravee. I'll have a go with the one PVR mentioned, where when you stop the engine the car unlocks.

Cheers...........I've emailed Intravention for the update but not expecting a reply 'til tomorrow. Will have a play then.

Those sound cool. Will drop them an email to get the update.

Mine was updated when I bought it, how do I put the update on it? I'll need to get a cable to connect it to my laptop, is it mac compatible?

I have the door unlock/lock thing working on mine through the Intravee, the car didn't do it before either.

They've just emailed me the new firmware but just leaving home for the Spurs v Chelsea match at Wembley so won't have a chance to try until tomorrow at the earliest now.

Always been an Intravee II.

Toysinyourcar.co.uk is the only supplier I know of. I bought mine before they had it and imported it from the US (even though they are made in the UK ...).
