And a whole lot of useless off-topic shite! I've a strong mind to tell the OP to delete the thread for the sake of everyone else on the forum apart from the handful of people involved in this ramble.

But then I saw who the OP was... :x

We'll get him to change the original title
LOL! Hahaha!

Just got home - thanks for the hospitality PVR

I am now sans-CDV and liking it a lot.

Thanks for a great day chaps, even though nothing was fixed on my car.

Bing is now the CDV removal king, too in one day.

Nice to meet Matt after their 25 page thread

Thanks yo the host for the coffees and I'll post some pics of the ///M surgery later.

Thanks for the hospitality & the significant (HUGE) help in fitting the intravee, dash cam & the CDV removal  Great to meet you guys, really enjoyed the day & chatting with you all.

CDV has made a huge difference in my opinion, feels like I can drive again! Rev matching on the downshift seems much better, as though I was getting my blips correct but the delay on the clutch let them drop too low. Feels so much more relaxing with the slow speed shifts.

Had followed the CPL filter instructions but on reviewing the video had loads of dash reflections. Looking through it manually, I'm guessing 2 o'clock is the right rotation.

Will be spending a while setting up all the intravee settings over the next day or so.

Thanks once again guys!

Matt

I'm glad Paul fixed that bolt - a cable tie would've done it, but would've been a bit of a bodge

I got my storage net... But the four fixing clip/screws are missing. Bloody Stratstone Hull :x

I'm impressed how quickly you managed the second CDV delete, you will no doubt become even more popular at future meets as work spreads!

I wasn't expecting the difference to be so significant, but now feel confident pulling away each time & on the first to second shift :driving:

Great skills by Paul getting it back in usable fashion.

Bummer on the storage net mate.

Yeah, everyone is out to spoil my weekend. Wee Bing is out at a party this evening - I'm mentally prepared for the call to collect him from A&E, or a police station

The nav screen reared it's ugly rattle, but think I had pushed my luck in the angle I put it at.

No idea at all on the rest of the car as had the roof down & iPod up loud :D

Will find out on Tuesday when I have the roof up again - fingers crossed. Am sure if will be fine, you guys gave the impression you know what you are doing!

Apologies for giving Paul the credit for your idea!

Great day everyone - and thanks to PVR for the driveway space, tea & toilets and Matt for shouting lunch

Sorry I had to rush off but we only ended up 15mins late for the viewing... upside is that it looks to be one worth shortlisting

I shot off so quickly, I forgot to leave the sample sprays of BSD for you to try  did you manage to get your boot wet to see the beading Steve?

Have to do it again soon - and see if we can make a 30 page thread for it then

There's a mark on the side of the CPL and a marked point on the camera above/below the lens depending on which way up you have it -, you need to line them up

That's them.

Just a couple of pics from today from the ///M surgery

I saw the one for below & lined it up - didn't thing to look for a mark on the top.

I used a reflection in the window & turned it looking through myself directly without cam & rotated it until the reflection went; same as when I'm using my proper camera, will see how it gets on.

You will have to remind me of your spray mix & quantities required as down to my last few weeks of detailer. Bang on cue, my Megs final touch spray head also decided it no longer wished to function :headbang:
