I'm in shock :P Is that Bing I see on his knees? And pretending to be working, getting his hands dirty :!: I've got to go and lye down :P

Rest easy , that isn't Bing getting his hands dirty , that's just the length he will go to when he drops a coin :P

I had just seen the wheels, anyone would cry :poke:

Yeah, sorry about the front porker wheel. The jack got away from me :(
Luckily he didn't notice the bit on the bonnet where we tried out his '0000 wire wool doesn't leave scratches' theory...

It was a pound chunk though

I enjoyed myself today. Next I want to change some gearbox oil I think. But I need a proper low profile jack first to get under the front.

No more than a few drops spilled out the CDVs, and I drank mine so stop your whinging :poke:

Serious question - you think I should change those front tyres before or after going away in June ?

I would, yes. You have them so it is only the cost of fitting them.

At least my stomach isn't hanging out

I did ask a serious question above though :poke: :x

Sorry, typing as you posted. Ok ta. I'll leave it till the week before , just to get the most out of the ones on there.

If that is the trip you mentioned today, then yes I'd change them if they are that close to needing it.

No point messing about with the last part of tread before a long & involved drive

I have a low profile jack & stands on my wishlist, need to learn how to change oil first though! Also a good chance to clear the roof drains which was my primary desire - along with the trumpet cleaning tool I bought after recommendation here.

Think the good lady is bored of aero skirt hints, plus the concern that if I buy a pair she will want some as well.

Great to see you all again... Glad I managed to seem like I knew what I was doing, great direction from those that actually had done it before!

Thanks to pvr for the hospitality and matt for lunch.

And for once my car didn't need any work :D

No rattles from the rear

Intravee now set up how I had it in the coupe, but couldn't for the life of me get fogs to illuminate on unlock....then realised the M doesn't have any

Nav still has a light rattle despite repositioning, glad I didn't bother applying the felt as it's not rubbing the back. If I tap lightly on the left edge of the Nav plastic housing it makes the noise. If I apply light pressure to the left or bottom edge of the case it doesn't make the noise. Obviously getting the screen out is not a small task!

Should I try and apply some light PTFE spray lube on the edge of the case? Cannot get to the bottom edge to do anything there. Perhaps a little gummipfledge rubbed onto my finger from the stick to try and stop movement of plastic on plastic. Any brainwaves from those in the know?

Cheers
