Would you fit it for me

took 5 mins to fit mine.. 8)

Bit easier when your battery is under the floor :poke:

Thank god, thought I was really over complicating things having read PVR's, install thread - come out in cold sweats just looking at what needs doing. I will be paying for the intravee this evening, so happy days!

So far in car ownership, I have either ended up bleeding over the car or breaking trim when removing anything....I just avoid it these days & find beer tokens work wonders to those with the skills to help.

Interestingly, with the top part of the plastic trim being removed (above the cubby), has anyone put some adhesive felt over the rub points to try and prevent that slight plastic buzz that happens on occasions? Thought it might be worth trying some given it would need to be removed anyway?

I can do self adhesive felt  just unable to ever get to the places that require it  Once I have watched & learned, I can then try to install one on my wife's car.....maybe!

I must admit I used a small piece of double sided badge tape on mine when putting back together. Whether it helps of not I dont know but it just seemed a bit loose without it.

I could bring the MINI
Are your legs good enough that offering to cross-dress will change their minds...?

...although Bing's well known for hanging around with men in skirts......

If you want it properly installed, you have no choice but to remove that centre part. The worst part is getting the two pins out at the top underneath the folding top, as you feel you will break them.

Hairdryer should help, but no point asking Bing or srhutch for one

I can bring my wife's, and just hope she doesn't find out!

Where does the Alpine unit go, didn't see reference to it in your post, but am still reading up?

Behind the storage bins if you don't have subs or where I put mine.

Got to your second photo & knew I was out of my depth.

Impressed with your solution, and your tenacity!

Well, the second picture shows what the car is still like - srhutch is not known for actually finishing a mod

A cruel sense of humour! Surely I must fall into an even easier camp to pick on....being incapable of even starting the process, let alone finishing.

I can provide beer tokens & Berocca though, about all I can bring to the table :headbang:

Ah, I have the subs - although extremely disappointed with the DSP to be fair after the HK in the JCW. No matter what I do, it seems to be either too flat, too tinny, or too boomy!

Missed the post about you 3 posting 6% of everything on here - will this be me meeting the equivalent of Z4 royalty?

Thought I was getting used to the CDV / clutch feel then a 7k shift from 3rd to 4th made me feel like a complete amatuer when overtaking a van. In fairness, I could have stayed in 5th and still done it but fancied some noise. Still amazes me just how fast these things can go when provoked :driving:

Nah, think of it more like an evening down the pub where you're cornered by 3 drunken gobshites

I think the plan is to meets at PVR's and then for him to feck off and pretend to be on the phone to some Russians while me and maybe Bing assist.

Russia is so last year srhutch, moved on to other countries now :D

And you summarised it right, to put some pressure on you I might lower the jack a bit at a time - just so you get a move on whilst drinking brake fluid 8)
