getting a few quotes for ins costs , what are you paying ? have got full ncb and am old and have found it can be insured on limited mileage of 5k per yr , garaged , comprehensive cover. Getting figures around £600 !

27 year old, car with all mods including full 560hp power rating, every single nut and bolt added declared, 990 quid, 10k a year with 4 trackdays included, car can not be used other than social reasons. must be garaged.

this was with competition car insurance company reiss.

Just over £1k with LV (was with Bell, but they added 30% 2 years ago, and tried to do the same last year).

20k miles, SDPC + business class 1 use, parked on road in Liverpool (but I'm away more than I'm at home), 10 yrs NCB (other than non-fault claims which still bump the premium), full EU cover for upto 180 days.

Mine's £530 on an Admiral multi car policy with 2 other cars. 6000 mile pa, class 1 business use, kept on driveway and I'm 39.

£370 with Classic Line 5k PA Social & Domestic only, no commute.

Quality miles, not quantity ones :D
About 1/4 of mine (so 5000 or so) are 'pleasure' miles, which includes 1-2 x 1,500 mile 'Ring trips (plus another 250 miles a day on track), plus the odd track day (150 miles a day), plus my monthly 250 mile trips into Wales.

It's only covered for 20k miles as even though I do 600 miles a week commuting, it might only be for 6 months of the year, and the rest of the time I'll be working from home. So I just put an average of 20k as my best guess. If I get close to that limit before the year end then I can add a few thousand more for about £10/thousand.

Sems to be a lot of variation of figures, the quote I had this morning from classicline who insures my caterham 7 is £599 which is a bit steep if its possible to get £270 ish. Wonder why when its in a low crime area and I've 5 years ncb and 50 plus age !!!! Will ring them again !
