Insurance for my daughter

The UK is stupidly expensive.

and no thanks to Brussels,
because of their meddling the UK has had to put girl's insurances up to equalise them with males as we are not allowed to discriminate on gender.
Of course to equalise, the Insurance companies have not decided to share the burden and lower the guys slightly, they have just decided to take the extra money for no extra risk by putting up the girls.

Cheap safe car and her own policy is the way to go with you on it as a second driver (usually reduces the policy a little) . She will thank you for it when 21 with some NCB! . I did this when I was 18, I now have 10 years NCB but those first few years I was paying ££££

I believe that to be fair though. The statement that is made about women being generally safer drivers, at least for me, is hard to believe given more female friends of mine have had incedents (thankfully none serious) than the guys. One reversed her brand new beetle into a tree shattering the rear screen.

As yes younger drivers are higher risk, but there are always alternatives such as trackers and curfews to really lower a policy.

got to agree here. it was purely due to the NCB that I was able to get my zed. (Turned 21 in October of last year)
