Hi All
Just had a dealership inspection 2 service done (Stephen James BMW)- painful to say the least:
Inspection 2 £464
Replace worn bushes and oil vacuum hose £623.....
This is an 2005 plate 2.0 with 39000 on clock with dealership FSH stamped into the logbook.
Ok that really hurt! And yes I should have probably gone to a non-franchise garage. Well after denting my finances heavily, four days after this work was carried out, I started the car, idle a little jumpy, and pressing the accelerator which initially caused an irregular rev pattern and on comes an amber EML light :x
Interestingly the problem appears to have resolved but light stays on- car drives ok I think.
Oh lord!! Just spent over a grand and now this. Now hand on my heart there were NO idle or rev issues PRIOR to this service. Some threads point towards oxygen sensors. Dealership has asked me bring the car back which I'm doing in 2 days.
Any advice on how to handle this issue would be great.
Cheers
