Ah- that’s better for the refurb- but still a ball ache!
Massive ball ache! Makes me feel a little sick, but then they will be perfect when done and as new.

At least it’ll all be sorted, you’ll soon forget about the money. That’s what I keep telling myself

Added the first few coats of Fabric Clinic black to the drivers side bolster on my drivers seat as it was quite faded. Will add a few more thin layers to build up a nice finish.

Also got the heat gun out as the seat itself was suffering from classic Z4 leather sag, and after 5 mins its tightened it up nicely (didn't take a before pic but it was quite saggy).

Picked up my refurbished 107 wheels today from Rimtec Alloys. They are now - finally - done, corrosion free and the correct BMW colour. Basically they’re as-new and look so much better on the car now.

OEM colour is Deutsch/German Silver.

Also treated them to some new black wheel bolts to replace the rusted efforts that were on the car previously.

Just some tyreblack now :poke:

Looking good as these wheels do, glad they are finally at the quality level where you can enjoy them

Thanks all. Colour is known as BMW Deutsche Silver. Standard OEM colour and finish.

Just before you set off each time, check out the rear wheel arches for illegal immigrants. You'll fit a couple in each side easily. :poke: :D

Yeah, yeah, yeah! Its just settling after being jacked up, okay?!
(note to self: get some tyre black and lowering springs)

Oh, and my airbag light is still off so I'm 83% sure I solved it by disconnecting/reconnecting all wiring to the battery and safety terminal. Must just have been dirty.

Had a sunny trip to and from Meopham in Kent for the wheels and gave her some beans on the A2. Such a great car and so much better now the CDV has been removed :driving:

I am in two minds about the CDV on the facelift. I am not really noticing it but can "feel" it sometimes.

I'd live with it if its not bothering you too much and decide later. Maybe after you've been outgunned on a slip road by a 1.2 Polo as you kangaroo towards 20mph

The only reason I have the X5M with 575 HP is so I can out accelerate a white van.
