inkey$ new Sepang ///MR

With a 2.5 engine? That is why he is not back yet as it is soooo much slower than the 3.0

It's a Lada coupe, he's currently just pushing it past Watford Gap services...

Okay people...I'm home.

After test driving, realising it was a near minter (he apologised for the 3mm scuff on the gear gaiter?!) I did the deed, paid up and took ownership of my new Zed. It took nearly 5 hours to get home to SE3 from Manchester; 5 hours of torrential rain from the moment I left to the moment I hit the edge of London. I kid you not, the cloud was following me I swear!

Anyway, the journey was made all the sweeter by the experience and I'm happy to announce that I'm an M owner once again :) The fall of the Toledo 3.0 last weekend made me realise that if I was going to have a toy in the garage I may as well go for it, and after looking at a couple of Alpina RS (thanks to Stu and Perry), I thought I had decided on one and was ready to do a deal. Turns out I was wrong. Last Monday I was doing my usual trawl of AT and PH and I spotted her. Like an oasis in the desert.

A Sepang MR with Light Sepang Nappa interior and just 45k on the clock. Four new tyres, FBMWSH, fully loaded (aside from cruise) and in a condition like you wouldnt believe ;) He even filled her up for me?!

The last 300 miles have been miles where I quickly got reaquanited with the naturally aspirated engine and its true what they say; with a rag top you can really hear that growl and those burbles so much easier! Anyway, knackered but happy. Will take some better pics but here are a few just before the light failed.

I'm back

(And it has isofix ;) )

Lovely car Inkey, shame about the roof
SepRang isn't my cup of tea (although it is the colour of tea) but you've definitely made the right decision
