I may not have it by then, it takes a month to travel, and the guy I'm getting it from has to get it to the port in Seattle, oh and then I need to register it, get number plates etc! Thanks for sorting the pics, I love it!

Well if not then am sure there will other opportunities! Looks incredible. You should start a thread on its journey as it moves over to and lives here in the UK.

It's worth doing. Not in the same league but when the guy that bought my old 335i to export to NZ with him, he literally drove it from my house to the port and emailed me photos of the journey over the coming weeks. Including a shot of the container ship arriving in the bay just before he picked it up. Still in touch today and get random shots of it on the other side of the world!

That's great!
The guy I'm getting it from is a collector, his wife has told him he needs to sell 5 cars, an e type coupe, 3 Austin Healeys, 2 100/4's, a 3000 and the 240, whilst closing the deal I said if I could buy it I'd send him pics from next years Le Mans Classic outside the Chateau where we stay, he said he'd like that :D

This kind of thing is brill, people working hard and then going and buying mad, float their boat things just for the hell of it. Life's too short to hoard it all, have a big fat grin along the way. :D

I'll be grinning for quite a while, thanks for the kind words :D

You are never an ex-owner :D

That is a great looking car though, especially when kept in that condition

I'd have the Manta GT/E in coupe form.

They were the ultimate fanny magnet when i left school in mid 80s , a local spiv had one with the twin circle headlight conversion done on his white car & he pulled every time he ventured out in it , , i bought a Renault 5 Gordini to be different

My mate had a white one, 85 iirc, with some form of Motorsport decals on it, yellow, and grey I think, similar thing, pulled up, in the boozer for 1/2hr and left with a fine young girl in his arm, pi$$ed me right off

I could sell the ///M pocket some cash and have this in the garage.

No idea what's it worth though really and not a GT/E either.
