But IMMIGRATION is not one of them.
The facts: consecutive governments, labour and conservative have shown they have ZERO interest in lowering immigration. They pay lip service to it and that's it!
So regardless on wether we stay in or go out, there is no guarantee the government will stop immigration.
People seem to have this view that a magic wand will be waved and immigration will disappear!!
I hear people complaining about Asian immigration, and how we need to leave the EU to stop it.
Non-EU migration is solely down to the government. They could stop it, if they wanted to. They clearly don't want to!
So I will be voting out but it will have nothing to do with immigration.
Well said that man..![]()

Over half going by this poll. I've thought long and hard about which one I am, and have come to the conclusion that it must be a chav, as I actually own a black cat.

Zed Five said:Hmmm,
surely if we came out, the following (all madness) will happen:
Vote if no confidence in govt
massive leadership battle (noone actually with eyes on managing the country during that period)
god knows who will become PM
value of £ plummets
inflationary pressure as import costs rise
value of uk companies plummet due to uncertainty
consumer spending plummets due to uncertainty (happenning already due to the referendum )
Uk will move into recession in 3 to 6 months
scots move for 2nd referendum on independence
Stagflation?
more uncertainty. Recession deepens as housing market will start to stagnate.
It's total madness, would solve little but smash most of what we now take for granted.

For me, it is about security and peace. We have lived in a Golden Age not by accident, make no mistake.
Just 20 years after the Great War, the war to end all wars, we were all kicking the s**t out of each other for another 6 years. since the end of WW II we have had 70 years of peace in Europe,(EU) don't make the mistake of underestimating this achievement. It's easy to take the piss out of David Cameron on this one because people have very short memories and there are not many alive who can tell us how truly s**t it was.
I am concerned about belligerent nations like Russia on our doorstep continually probing our defence weaknesses both in the air and at sea. Now is the time to stick together rather than fragment. Ok, you can argue that NATO looks after this but the more together we are the stronger we are. The same way I feel about Scottish independence. I bet that Putin is praying for us to leave so that it triggers a complete fragmentation of European unity and he can increase the flexing of his muscles with impunity.
I don't think that there will any difference to immigration one way or another. If we come out and wish to have free trade agreement with the EU, don't we need to agree to freedom of movement of people like Norway?
Unelected representatives telling us what to do, you mean like the House of Lords? Don't we have elected MEP's speaking up for us in Brussels?

Well said and my thinking, theres too many people banging on about being our own country again etc and taking back power for ourselves, but times have moved on and have great fears if we dump EU membership. I think were pretty lucky as a country to be honest and being part of the EU.
Tim.
