Some recent proper M cars are an embarassement to what most people consider a real M (like the E30 M3).
But personnaly I think the M Division and M Technik have always been a lot of things to many different people.
MY Z4 has no M badges and I don't care.

E24 (635 CSi) had M 635 CSi with the M badge (M6 badge in U.S.)
