I would love to buy this car, it’s an absolute cracker. However I’m still new to Coupe ownership and feel I have to give mine a couple more years at least. GLWTS.

You will regret it,I love the car and I know I’ll regret selling it,if I don’t then I’m not too bothered,I need the space as got another Datsun lined up and it’s just not getting used enough especially with wots going around but that’s going to change soon so who knows

Considering,it’s being valeted this week, bell me if interested,it’s sitting outside in my paddock and gues wot,of all the air space available a bird has just opened it’s under carriage all over it

I’ve had an offer for the wheels so could be a deal for my car without wheels, not sure how you would drive it but thought I’d offer it without wheels

Love the colour and rims, my ideal spec.

If you’d consider 20k let me know I’m interested.
Nothing came of this then?

No, I went to see another car yesterday. A Z4MR and put a deposit on it this evening. Just waiting on a few bits to be fitted like induction kit then can take ownership :)

To O.P. GLWTS

Bg it’s only been up for sale with a proper ad for three weeks as I was allways in two minds to keep it hence it was sometimes offered to prospective buyers and as usual all I get is timewasters,I must attract them like flies to a piece of you know wot,I even had someone asking to sell the wheels so yeah if some one wants to buy it without wheels then I’d sell them, the car sites like WBAC . Com but not them are offering me £100 short of 20k and they keep upping their offer every couple of weeks so I might even let it go to one of them ,I’ve dealt with them before and they try and knock a bit off,I give em 15 mins to look car over and if it’s not wot we agree then I tell them to walk,I stick to my guns ,they take it or leave it

BUMP
Just had car valeted, looks the nuts will be putting on piston heads later,
We buy any car and especially motorway which is same thing are coming up with offers of around the 20 k Mark, maybe the market is slow or is it the colour any fingers in the right direction welcome

I think the market overall is starting to slow down. Holidays are opening up again and a lot of the ‘pent up demand’ for spending on luxury items (any 2 seater sports car really) seems to have been satisfied. Prices went up strongly in the first five months of this year but seem to be calming a little.

As a slight aside, I believe that you owned the Phoenix Yellow coupe that I almost bought at the start of 2019 (the beginning of my Z4 journey). You had sold it, sometime earlier I believe , to the chap who owned it when I viewed it (Paul I think his name was)

If that’s the case the Yellow car was in fabulous condition, so if you were as picky with this car as that yellow E86 I can only imagine this is a fantastic example that just needs to be viewed

I think this car would sell more easily if the wording and layout of the advert were improved. The wording comes across as a bit confrontational, rather than being a simple collection of facts that help a prospective buyer to assess what's on offer. There will definitely be a buyer out there looking for a car like yours, but the advert has to be right.

Yes wonky I can see where you are coming from but as I seem to attract mainly timewasters I said It how it is and people don’t like that now days ,I intend to do an ad on piston heads soon so I’ll just keep it simple
Yes I did have that Phoenix si and this is just as good if not better

I know, the timewasters are a real frustration, but they are an inevitability when it comes to selling a car (or anything, for that matter!). If you include all required info in the advert, you're less likely to get "silly" questions, and it's more likely that the first point of contact will be someone asking to view the car. I think it's important to try to remain tolerant and open to questions etc, otherwise the sale just won't happen. Best of luck!

Yeah, remain tolerant, gets a bit harder to do that as ive got older,I’m probably an old git now ha ha,I’ll do an ad and just put my landline number in it that way I won’t get no silly texes, might even take the 20k motorway offered or sell one of me other cars

I’m getting a higher offer of just under 21 k now from Motorway, gradually going up
Anyone had any dealings with this lot

There's lots of chat about them in the various Facebook car groups I'm in. Used car prices are high at the moment, as we all know, so sites like We Buy Any Car (WBAC), Wizzle and Motorway are resulting in some attractive prices when compared to prices on the same sites 3 months ago. Motorway seem to be fairly popular with users from what I've gathered. I'm in the process of buying a 2018 car at the moment and WBAC are offering me just £1,000 less than the price I'm paying for it, from a dealer.

Theres an element here that people are stopping to ride the wave.

The market is only going to go one direction once it hits its peak so if I was a buyer I would be waiting. Jumping on these companies might not be a bad idea if your struggling with tyre kickers.
