After being away from the forum for some time due to work and life getting in the way I'm now back on board. Seems like a lot of members have joined since I was last on- be good to get to know you all and to catch up with old friends.
It is with sadness that my returning post is related to crashing my z.
:!: Unfortunately on the way to work last week (i was using the z to commute as better half had borrowed the X5 as her beetle was getting worked on -another expensive story.) I ran into the back of someone. Intially I thought it would be ok as there was minimal damage to his car but unfortunately it had a towbar which has done a fair bit of damage. I was able to pull the headlight back out so I could drive the car.- I'm paying for the repair my self as I fear the insurance may write it off (those who know me know my z is a keeper)

As you can see the front panel is bent out of shape (these are like hens teeth and over £400 new) The body shop recokon the bumper is repairable and will plasti weld light brackets. They would rather I got a new front panel (the part the the bumper fixes to) however if I can provide a spare light for them to line things up to they say they may be able to straighten mine. (if anyone has a light I can borrow for a few weeks it would be much appreciated!)
On way to see body shop.
