Wife called me today,

Wife "your not insured to drive your car and havn't been since 25th August"

Me "eh"

Wife "are you deaf"

Me "what, eh no, but we renewed the same policy"

Wife "yes I know but they apparently did not get any approval from us, even though they sent a letter stating "if you wish your policy to continue you need do nothing" So we did nothing, I only noticed because the payments had not been leaving the bank."

Me (somewhat confused, and also dismanteling an emergency light at work) "So what happens now?"

Wife " Iam waiting on call back from a supervisor after the chimp I spoke to on the phone admitted they had made an error and I had indeed been driving with no insurance since 25th August."

Even though they had Cocked up I immediatly felt sorry for the poor unsuspecting victim whose job it was to have to call my wife back.

End result, I am now insured, and an official complaint has been put in.

I feel pretty miffed about it all, I have done alot of driving since 25th August including the Islay trip, and a recent trip down to Castle douglas and Portpatrick, all this time I was uninsured and completly illegal...

Useless C***ts

Make sure they start you insurance from today, they have a tendency to fob you off and say they would have honoured any claims and back date it

not too bad then, 3 months free insurance, lucky you did not have any accidents or spot checks with the police

Oh my goodness, what terrible form on the part of the insurance co. :o ! The spirited driving in recent time too. Well done to Mrs Nosa

I'm sure there must be wriggle room in your circumstances but you could still have a problem if the Highways Agency ANPR cams have picked up your car, you could have an 'uninsured vehicle' rap on the way from the DVLA.

Should have known better than to expect any sympathy from pvr or a11y
